      Could I....?

Well I have I never had a lucid experience but I am currently developing myself. There is a girl I like in real life but never did talk to her in school, as I'm too shy. School is out and I will never see her again unless she is out in a club or something when I am. Would it be possible for me to create a confrontation with her, like just talking to her, in a lucid dream?

Yeah, something like that would be easier than you might think. The trick is getting LDs and learning to maintain them. That way, you'll have the time to get what you want done.

It would be creepy but relatively easy. Just use some DC summoning technique and you're all set.
You know you could always look her up on facebook or something.

Sure it'd be possible. I've been planing on doing the same, actually, whenever next I get a lucid dream.

"Hi, we're complete strangers and have never spoken before, but for some reason I have a crush on you anyway. Since I could never get up the nerve to talk to you, I'm going to summon you into my dreams for some lucid sexy-time."

You know that this is where it's going. To me, it's just creepy.

The guy never said anything about sexy-time... Though if it goes that far, then I agree that it might be creepy. But isn't that what dreams are for? Doing what you can't do IRL?

Of course not, that's why I said you know it's going to go there. Anyway, off topic enough. Yes, it's possible. Just turn around expecting her to be there, or open a door, or call her name and look around a corner, or turn someone else into her, or whatever else you can think of to make her show up.

LMAO, no dude! You misunderstood. I'm not sexually attracted to her or anything(not slating her or anything), and sex plays no role in this whatsoever. I will never see her again is all unless we happen to be out on town at the same time, which I doubt will happen. She lives far away

And until I talk to her and stay in contact, I won't see her, so I feel really sad and stuff when I think of her, which is all the time. So I want to try and spend some time with her in my dreams

relax man, you can if you want to, no one will judge you if you do. I probably would, just for the hell of it.

...but seriously, yeah it is possible, and Shift gave you a lot of good suggestions for summoning her. Good luck!

I barely know her at all, I want is a simple non sex related encounter

However I would gladly summon some other women I don't know, like celebs, for a good time, so I guess it's kinda ironic in a way

      Thanks for the replies

I don't want to come across as an arse, but I am one, so here's a question: in what way is it ironic?

Because he's moral enough not to have dream sex with a particular girl he doesn't know, but any other girl he doesn't know is just fine.

It's a humorous, unexpected, and contradictory situation. Although it's a stretch, it could be considered situational irony by some, which is why I didn't call him on it.

why you don't practice in the dreams to get that confidence you need to talk her?

      bye!

      Yup, that's it exactly.

      @ Mariano

I don't rly know what you mean, but if you mean "why don't I summon her in a dream and practice talking to her there", that's exactly what I am planning to do

Are you both American? Because that is not Irony. It's not even close.

The simplest (but not funny) example of Irony I can think of would be if some one wrote "I can spell", but they spelt it wrong. That's Irony. It's not funny, but it's certainly Ironic.

Yes, that's one of the most basic and easily recognizable forms of situational irony. There's also verbal irony (my favorite) and dramatic irony. Of course, these terms are usually reserved for literature, but I find they work well in describing real life irony as well.

As to where I was coming from with my initial post, the attitude and possible events that would occur as a result of this person's beliefs could be argued to fit into the category of situational irony. I personally don't think it's pure enough to be quality irony of any variety, but to each their own. I was simply defending his viewpoint.

Also, I have no idea what being American has anything to do with it. It's as if, in your views, by being American, someone is suddenly stupid and has no idea what they're talking about. That's just idiotic, if you ask me.

Also, I find all kinds of irony to be funny. Even the example you mentioned.

I tried to keep this as on topic as possible, but we're drifting from the point. What Mariano was suggesting was that you could use the experience you gain from your dreams to speak with her in real life. That is, if you ever see her again.

      Someone's been googling.

Look; IT.IS.NOT.IRONY. ... Dressing it up in pretty words does not make it any more ironic than it actually is (which it isn't).

Now you get what I'm talking about. So I guess you are American? (and not just because you don't know what Irony is).

I do agree that we should just leave it now (and agree that I'm right), and try to keep on topic. I've only just come back from being banned for a week, so I certaily don't want to get banned again (although if I did I could easily just make another account, but that's Irrelevant).

To this day, I have not been able to successfully summon a DC of my choosing. My brain is just too grounded in logic for it to work... my best suggestion to you, then, is rather than 'forcing' your will onto the dream attempt to influence the dream's situation to a circumstance where the two of you might conceivably meet. For example, as opposed to "I want her to appear NOW," try "She said she would be at this party that I'm walking to right now, I'll find her there."

      On a side note:

I agree with Mzzkc on this one, and I find it Ironic that you are arguing about Grammar related Issues when you keep Capitalizing words in your sentences That shouldn't be. =)

      EDIT:

Welcome to DreamViews! =D I hope your stay is enlightening.

Yup! You can do anything you wish in a dream. You just have to believe you can make it happen.

hisnameistyler is right, this thread got way too off topic.

anyway @ Eoin: Have you had any luck? Fill us in on your attempts. Even if they aren't successful they should be interesting.

Well I haven't had a lucid dream yet, but I obviously think about her a lot. She and her friends have been in my dreams now for about a week I dunno why! Last night she was in my dream on her own, but it was a completely normal and random dream.

I think it's cause it's on my mind all the time so she just shows up

Also, I am meeting her and all her friends on Friday or Saturday, so I'm really looking forward to it
