im not expert at this but i can pretty consistently fly in my dreams. try this:
begin by sprinting down the street or across a field or whatever. try jumping. you will notice that it will feel more like a moon jump than an earth jump. i think doing this somehow makes my body realize that im not bound by physical laws anymore. you can practice this in your dream or move on to...
SKY-ROCKETING
this one is fun. once you've convinced your body that gravity isnt holding it down, you should be able to levitate at will. it will still be shaky, but that's ok; you don't need a perfect grasp of levitating to really soar into the sky. i guess the way i start is imagining myself looking down at my house from a birds eye view (my dreams generally start from false awakenings). its important also that you turn your head in the direction that you want to go. that may sound stupid but i find turning my head with the conviction that i am going to SHOOT up into the stars, quite literally, launches me into the sky like superman.
if your having trouble staying in the air, i would suggest KEEP GOING. don't look down, just see how high you can go. i have flown into outer space and gotten so close to the sun that the sheer size of it scared me out of my dream lol. good luck.
