Thinking about your dreams to achieve that dream

How do you keep your mind focused on one dream scene that you want to have when you dream? When i try to think about the dream i want, other images start to appear, then i end up dreaming about something completely different. I want to have fun in my lucids, and i've come close to having the type of dream that i want, but i'm always in the wrong setting/dream scene and i can't do what i want because of the scene. I'm just trying to learn how to paint my dream scene is the main thing that i want to do, and its always hard for me to decide what i really want to dream about, can anyone help?

Have you tried dream spinning? All you have to do is spin around and think of the area you want to be in. It works for me.
