      Asking someone to appear?

There has been a recurring person that I have been dreaming about for the last 2 years but I don't get to see him that often. Is there any way, that people know, how to get the person you want to see to come into your dreams? I don't need to be lucid because I would rather have my dreams follow their own course but I would like to ask him to show up.

Try thinking about the person all day long. Even carry a photo around. He/she should appear in your dreams later that night...(hopefully)

Do you mean that you two will share a dream and you will talk together?

If not, I would suggest thinking about him a lot. Since your dreams are thoughts extended, if you think about him a lot, then you should dream about him.

That makes sense. I will try that. I'm just hoping that maybe someone has a stronger technique. I know that if I can get him to appear in a dream that we will interact like we always do, he just doesn't come to me that often.

This works perfectly for me: "I would like so-and-so to walk through that door."

Do you say that while your awake, like right before you go to sleep or do you say it while you're asleep?

Wanting him to show up without being lucid is going to be more difficult. Only
real thing we can suggest is to think about this person over the course of the
day and hope they make an appearance in your dream, as was already
suggested. You shouldn't be "asking him to make an appearance" if you're not
lucid, not unless you constantly ask for it while you're awake. A sort of
      reality check. That could work.

      I'm usually not so dramatic
When I open some kind of door or need to go around the corner soon or smth like that, then I just tell myself that the person is there (or anything else you want). About 90% successful for me. And when I say "tell", I mean mentally. Verbal most likely works just as well, but I'm not that talky in my dreams And the most important thing is - don't doubt. KNOW he is waiting for you there.
