Zanpakuto as dream guide idea

I've never been able to find a dream guide, even calling on one, though I have been able to summon items with properties beyond the physical. Recently, I tried summoning a zanpakuto, or for those of you who don;t read Bleach, a spirit sword, containing a separate consciousness formed from one's own soul/personality. I focused on the tactile sense first, then visual, the inverse of what I usually do when trying to summon an item from outside myself. I was able to feel the sword really clearly, and then see details thereof with more clarity than I'd ever seen anything in a dream. I continued focusing on the sword, trying to communicate with it, see if I could possibly achieve shikai (release state, opened when one is able to communicate with the spirit of the sword). I got a name, a sort of verbal telekinesis only more so, and then the rest of the necessary information for the release was sort of just known, and then I saw a brief, clear view of more than just the idea of a glimpse of white fur. She (the being seemed female) was vaguely tiger-shaped, though I didn't keep focus for long enough and the shikai form collapsed, but I expect that if I can bring this back in a later dream (priobably including the inner-world bit), I might be able to get some answers about dreaming. So. Yeah. Idea fir dram guides, for those who can't summon a person: summon an object or spirit link that comes with a being. See if that helps.

Interesting, in fact Amethyst and I have talked about this before. I have not been able to keep lucidity long enough to try such feat but I would looove to try.

Gah, no dream memory whatsoever this morning. Had this feeling of having just been somewhere else, so that may be something. Feeling a bit of a fever from being out in the cold and wet, which is usually pretty inducive to this sort of thing, so... Wish me luck! Will report back with any progress.

I've never thought of using a Zanpaktou as a sort of Dream Guide item. But it sounds totally freaking awesome man. I recall in a dream using Tensa Zangetsu (Ichigo's Zanpaktou) and releasing it with Bankai and even saying Tensa Zangetsu after I released it VIA Shikai and it was utterly epic. I mean seriously swinging around a black katana with a chain on the end in Shinigami clothes shouting Getsuga Tenshou and shooting out a spectacular crescent moon shaped blast from my sword, but I digress. I will try this the next time I remember to in a dream. Sounds epic man. Also the meister weapon sounds equally epic. Not only can you use it as a weapon and carry it with you it also turns into a human giving you a companion on your journeys.

Great idea Jet! I've tried many times calling out my DG. I wonder if it's possible to call out your DG by using an item, like a Zanpakuto, and actually using that in real life to talk to your sub-c? I've always wanted to talk/see my DG in real life.

I had a similar dream where I was at my grandsma house in a room where my grandpa was using his own zanpakuto using it and releasing it to shinkai makin the blade of his sword to fall to the ground and become a branch with pink petals later on controling it like Byakuya from bleach. I later went out of my grandmas house where I encountered a lady who was using mostly white clothing. She looked like Ivy(from Sould Calibur) but all her clothes with. She was standin near a wall holding with one hand a double edge sword similar to a knights sword. I asked her name and she answered with my own. I responded to her as "I understand" turning to my own zanpakuto that i already had with me. I yelled my first name which was the name of my shinkai release meaning "whole or complete" as i finished my blade evolve turn into a giant katana sword similar to ichigo's unreleased zanpakuto. All black and with not guard and a golden hilt. Which later on discovered had to form for my shinkai the one i have explained and thinnner and smaller version as a regular katana but more much dense, beutiful and portable. As I discovered the first name whose was the same as mine I just concluded that the whole name of my zanpakuto was mine which translates to "The Whole Truth or Complete Truth" which activated and release it to Bankai mode. Which my giant sword evolve again and turned to a long range weapon all in black. A nagita, which is a long staff with a blade on the end.The staff was black just as the blade too. I ended playing with my trasitions of regular zanpakuto which used with only one hand my shinkai which i used with both since it was a big sword and with the nagita form. As i see it The lady in white was the inner spirit of my zanpakuto. Even thought i am a guy and my spirit was a woman she and I bared the same name. I hope this dream realates to yours.
