CONTROLL!

Last night I had a lucid dream that lasted for a long time. In the beginning I had controll and showed one of the DC's that I could fly. The problem was that there were these really tall trees in my way, so I decided to come down and start flying in an open field(I was trying to fly into space). Once I got down to the ground though, I could no longer controll my dream, it was very frustrating(especially when I tried controlling the girls I met later on). I wasn't all that lucid, so that may have been it, but I was fully aware that I was dreaming throughout the dream. Finally I was able to controll a girl, but only by imagining what I wanted her to do(I usually don't have to do this in my dreams). Then I woke up like I usually do when I get umm... excited. Any ideas as to why I wasn't able to controll anything?

I always thought the term "lucid dream" means only that you're aware that you're dreaming. PS. Control is spelled with one 'l' only

My DC in LDs usually waxes and wanes... At the beginning, I cant control that much, inthe middle I can control a lot, but then it fades and I have nothing left. maybe there is some LD DC energy force that you use up in your dreams or something

i think that has to do with the level of how lucid you are, you can be in all of your dreams aware that its not real and that it is a dream, but NOT always you can do something about it. When i was little the movie Alien was on in the TV very much, so me and my brother watch it (scared to death) and in my dreams a alien chased me and i was fully aware it was a dream but the only thing i wanted was to wake up!

yea man i had a lucid dream this morning where i wass flying .. then i landed then i tried to fly again but couldnt . it like you have to really know you can fly because your in a dream and its soo badass its almost hard to accept i guess.

You know its pretty strange. One thing I figured out is that your Lucid abilities tend to drop a bit once you have some form of interaction with you DC's wether by touch or just basically convesing with them. Physical interaction always downgrades Lucid capabilities well at least for me it does. It could be different for everyone else. Also when flying once you alter your natural pattern of flying. for instance disrubting your flight by landing and walking to a more open location to fly again sometimes disables this ability. Like they say if its not broke don't fix it .. If you have trees in your way again don't let that get in your way or stop you by no means. I Move them so that they part like the Red Sea and I fly right through them. Give that a try good luck...
