      Plz help, this is weird...

I'm only 14, and I don't understand why I'm having dreams like this. It's been recurring for about six months, and I want to understand it in hopes that it will go away...

In my dream, I am in school. A tornado is in the area, and everyone rushes to a dark, cramped room without windows or light. Having been raped nine months before as my dreaming self, I am in quickly-progressing labor and am very afraid, so I tell a teacher. This teacher despises my guts in real life. To my surprise, she is gentle and kind, acting almost as a mother. She takes me to another room, and for a very long time I labor with her assistance. Finally, just before delivery, I die in agony in her arms. As I am a teenager, and have never had a sexual experience, or, consequently, have never been pregnant, I don't understand this dream. The dream is not focused at all on the tornado; it is focused mostly on the relationship of myself and this teacher, as well as the terrible pain of labor. It is very realistic, almost like a memory. I don't know why this dream keeps recurring. This teacher has been abusive; a long time ago we were close, but that ended. I thought I was over it all, and I don't even know if that has anything to do with it. Frankly the dream is upsetting and I don't know what it means or how to make it "go away." Thank you in advance for any help!

That is somewhat unusual and I am going to leave the interpretation to others who are better qualified, however...

Have you begun learning to lucid dream yet? Lucid dreaming is a great tool to help in issues like this. When you lucid dream, your concious and subconsious are linked temporarily and you can gain insight into things like this. I've had the opportunity to work with people many times who have been disturbed by recurring dreams and in almost all cases, lucid dreaming is the key to unlocking what is going on.

The next time you have this dream, or a dream like it, realize that you are dreaming and let your concious mind take control. I would then start by talking to your teacher and asking her why she is so nice to you in your dreams, but is mean to you when you are awake.

During later dreams, you can also ask what the baby symbolizes.

Good luck and please let me know if I can help. You can always PM me or anyone here or post questions any time you like!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

      Hi,

Well if I were to venture a guess...(these are rhetorical questions do not answer them here)

You said this teacher has been abusive, what do you mean by that? Because truly abusive teachers need to be reported to the proper authorities.

You seem to suggest that you have a long running relationship with this teacher. Male or Female and what is the nature of the relationship?

If you have never been sexually actifve or exposed to sexually explicit material where does the concept of being raped come from?

Usually when someone dreams of something so personally painful and violating as being raped there is something in the real world that is also very troubling. It may be that real abuse is occuring or that you are having a bought of affect (moodiness or obsession possibly having to do with puberty).

Seeker is right the dream cannot go away until the cause goes away and identifiying that cause means examining the relationships in your life and your current mindset. Don't be afraid to take your dreams to a professional counselor if you think there is anything more serious going on. Its your mind, your body and your future.

      Best Regards,

      EJ
