      Doped dead lady?

okay, last night i had this really weird dream.
here it is as i wrote it in my journal:

An old lady is sprawled on her back in an armchair, in the lounge of the nursing home.
her eyes are wide open and she's not moving, she is obviously dead. Her hands are palm upwards, and curled into clawlike fists.
Graeme has a look at her, and says she has been doped.
      'on what?' i ask him
      'bezodiazepines.'

This dream was weird in that the lady i dreamed about has been dead this last couple of months. Granted i was close to her, but i didn't like the content of this dream at all.
they say you should look past the symbols in interpretation, and look at your emotional response, but this was too disturbing.

      Any ideas anyone?

      Dear Irish,

This may be an important dream.

      bezodiazepines

I have long suspected that some people are not actually reflectively conscious -- that they go through life in a kind of Sleep Walk or permanent Black Out. They function well enough on the surface level, much like any automaton. But they do not have any Moral Reflectivity or Artistic Awareness.

Now, the Bezodiazepines are a type of Antidepressant. I think your higher mind is warning you, and now warning us through you that this family of Drugs is a Soul Killer. Behavior may continue, but the Soul may well be killed off, creating a Zombie -- the Living Dead -- though a Zombie that is not depressed.

I should mention that I don’t think he means “soulkiller” in the literal sense. Her soul has just moved onto its next phase of existence, that’s all. I apologize, Leo, but I read your post and cringed at the thought of a soul being killed. How tragic! >.<

Anyway, irishcream: you said you were close to her. I’m sorry if anything I say sounds callous… I’m just trying to interpret the symbolism of your dream. The only way you’ll fully understand what it could mean is by confronting it head-on. Look closely at each detail. Assume that everything could be a clue. I find that the best dream interpretations come from questions (because everything is subject to context), so here are some things to think about (pertaining to the dream):

Were you aware of how she passed away (in the dream)? What color was the chair? The room? Why “bezodiazepines” and not another name? What was your emotional state? The emotional state of your friend?

That’s about all I can offer. As I said, it’s all subject to context and since I don’t know the intricate details (only you do), I really can’t give you an accurate interpretation. Regardless, I hoped this helped at least a little bit.

in the dream i was not aware of how she passed away, i just found her.
The chair was a brown cloth recliner, and the room is blue.
My emotional state as i remember it was one of shock and disbelief. In the case of benzodiazepines, and not 'antidepressants' my friend is very technical. He was very calm and matter of fact about it in the dream, but i could sense that he was as shocked as me by it.
