a question on a recurring dream theme

about every other night for two weeks i've been having dreams involving the dead or the undead. i wouldn't call these nightmares. i'm always something of an independent observer of their actions. the variety of these dreams is particularly interesting. here are some examples:

      - normal people playing a game called "zombie" but sort of turning into the flesh-eating beasts (one in particular i remember as having a very large, round head that was falling apart).
      - people being labeled as zombies in my mind, but looking perfectly normal
      - people in a disneyland-like place dressed up as zombies for the entertainment of the guests
      - and then you get the plain old undead walking the earth.
      - lots of miscellaneous dealings with dead things, piles of bodies, etc.

anyway, this happens a lot now. my question is if the dead or the undead have any sort of classic symbolism? i understand that individual interpretation is the most valuable information, but this is just out of curiosity. these dreams don't really bother me, they're never terrifying and the undead rarely chase after me (and if they do i can always handle them).

      thanks!

hey, me too. before, I dreamed my whole school students turned into mindless humans, then last night people in my school went mad like those zombies in Dawn of the Dead.
Maybe you watched too many horror movies?

Usually the dead is symbolized as being influenced by negative people and hanging around the wrong crowd. If this is true for you maybe the people you talk to just aren't being as great of friends or co workers as you need them to be. Maybe someone is being rude to you or someone is slacking off. This is just a shot.

So many variables, so little knowledge.

I can only suppose that this Dream Motif is a comment from the Higher Mind on the morbidity of your Life Culture. It perceives a Spiritual Vacuum and is sarcastically commenting upon that in your dreams with this Zombie Life of the Living Dead Theme.

I once had a Dream in which the Very Angel of God told me to remember that Christ is the Life in All things, to which I suppose reference was being made to the Cosmic Christ and not to any historical person, necessarily. LIFE is the keyword here. If one's Life is entirely too futile, empty, and isolated from the concerns for any Greater Good, characterized more by its separateness than by its connections to Others, then it may appear LIFELESS.

A Common Spiritual Metaphor talks of Unity in God as being One in the Vine of Christ -- to see the Life in oneself, the sap and the blood, as being an infusion from a Common and Higher Spirit. If one is too much the individual, then this cuts one off from this Spiritually invigorating Life Force.
