sucked into chest of a skeleton, world has no light

This was a strange one and i want to know what its about, I was in a long straight hallway-like cave, with black, wet walls. i was walking down it and i saw a purple portal kind of thing next to me, and turning back to look down the hallway i saw freddy krueger, he ripped the middle of his shirt and he had a skeleton chest, his rib bones extended and grabbed me, im terrified, he sort of pulls me into his chest, i go in and am turned into a blue floating orb and i fly into the purple portal. i appear in a dark cave and see an old lady who tells me that "there is no light on this planet" (like, no sun i guess) it is very dark and hard to see her but i find a torch and use it put it goes out and shrinks until its too small to hold, i leave the cave and realise i have a small flashlight which i take out and use, but im afraid it will run out of battery so i use it sparingly, i run out of the cave through an opening about the size of a garage door, and i start running along a grass path that is on a ledge overlooking a deep valley with rolling hills in it, i can only see where im going due to the small flashlights beam. now i have a friend with me but i dont know who it is, only that they are a friend of mine. we run and his flashlight goes out so i reach into my pocket and hand him a AA battery and he uses it in his flashlight and it works. we drop down when we see a small group of soldiers on a hill a little bit away, we can see their silloette in front of the moon, and they are armed with rifles, they walk up a hill until they are about 10 ft below us and about 30 ft away, we hide behind small clumps of grass, and i now have a rifle, i aim it at one of them and fire, it misses and we are forced to get up and run, gunfire goes off all around us and flies past my head, then i feel pressure on my body and everything goes black and i am standing up straight and i cant move. then i woke up.

To me this seems to be a fairly straightforward descent into the underworld of the unconscious. All I'm getting from it is the rather obvious surface meaning - Freddy Krueger is not just a monster, but he's specifically associated with dreams - he's basically the evil king of the underworld of the unconscious. So the fact that he ushered you in there indicates that this is a nightmare of entering into your own unconscious. It's dark - that's fitting of course, Light represents conscious awareness generally - and especially in this particular context. Light can have other meanings - another one that comes to mind would be religious enlightenment, but this doesn't feel like that kind of dream. You have a torch and it burns out - then a flashlight with a very small AA battery that doesn't give much light and you're afraid wit will burn out if you use it much. This could indicate that you're in a situation (in your life) where you're unaware or only dimly aware of some danger. And since the dream seems to be taking place in your own unconscious mind (subconscious if you prefer that term) it seems the dangers might be internal. Some unconscious thoughts of your own perhaps? Unconscious habits? Soldiers are people who kill because they're just doing their job, or out of patriotism - so maybe they represent some deep rooted thoughts patterns that mean well but are a threat to you now? Or habits that were instilled - drilled into you maybe - that pose a danger? So you're in the frightening and dark realm of your own unconscious mind - and there are soldiers. Are they searching for you? Trying to kill you? You didn't mention that. It sounded like you just saw them and hid, then shot at them. But I'm assuming you got a sense that they were after you. You have precious little conscious awareness but you are able to share some with a friend. This is kindness and maybe teaching. Opening someone's eyes - though that friend might be some aspect of yourself rather than a real friend - especially since you weren't aware of who it was. You attacked the soldiers but it failed and only brought retaliation that forced you to flee... maybe fear that if you try to fight these unconscious dangers without enough illumination (conscious awareness) it could be dangerous? The fact that you said gunfire specifically flew 'past your head' is another indicator that it seems to be about thoughts or ideas. As for the ending - pressure and an inability to move sound like typical sleep paralysis. Google it for info. It's pretty common if a nightmare wakes you to wake into sleep paralysis and be unable to move for a few seconds or minutes - though yours might have been ending as you woke from the dream. People don't realize this, but every time you dream your body is paralyzed. If you wake while the paralysis is still in effect it's called sleep paralysis. While we're actually sleeping it's called REM atonia. This is only my interpretation, and I hope you hear from others as well.
