A dream of distant thunder. No lightening, just a rumble off in the distance somewhere...yet again i find myself feeling uneasy, afraid, and desolate. it's raining again. I am standing on a bridge, over a river. The water is fast running over a rapid, and this makes me afraid.
this is the second dream of this nature that i have had in less than a week. It's also the second ever dream i remember being in monochrome. Yet again i woke up feeling totally desolate, alone, and miserable.
it would seem that my dreams have suddenly taken a very depressing and melancholy turn.
Anyone got any ideas for this one?? I think it may be linked to the one i had in the churchyard...which would suggest that something somewhere is really trying to tell me something, and i'm not figuring it out..
You are on a Bridge. You are between your Future and your Past. And it is not a smooth transition. Emotionally, we have the turbulent waters beneath you. Intellectually, we have the Thunder (Air is Intellect, Water is Emotion).
It may also represent a Choice. On a Bridge, you can go either way. Or the Bridge could be permanent, in the sense of the Spiritual 'Razor's Edge'. One the Center of the Bridge you are not necessarily One Thing or necessarily The Other. This could be the source of your desolation. You are alone. Between Worlds, you don't belong to one or to the other.
Remember, there are advantages to not picking Sides. When you stay Between, you can be an honest broker for Peace between the Two. But if you choose one side for the sake of having some warmth of human Society, then there is the consequence of having alienated the Other Side. Then again, by staying in the middle, perhaps one has alienated everybody.
Life does have some tough choices, no?
