It's possible that your dreamsigns could have meant the same thing. You weren't in a shared dream, if it's even possible, so I don't think it really means as much as it does. You have so many dreams in your life it's very possible that you have similiar dreams with someone.

The implication is that 'Tornadoes' signify personal upheaval, in this case, the trouble involved with your boyfriend edging toward having an affair with that 'it's just business' lady. You are sort of in a 'damned if you do and damned if you don't situation'. If it IS an affair, then you have already lost. But if it is 'only business' then you have come on like a crazy nut jealous harpy who only wants to hold back her boyfriend's career. It is all Lose-Lose as far as you are concerned. Yeah, the 'Tornado' seems quite appropriate.

But, yes, it would have been out of line for that lady to extend an invitation for a private dinner. That is not business. Yes, there are business dinners, but they are Dinner Parties and the guest are allowed to bring guests -- spouses and significant others. Business Lunches often are one on one, and it is quite out of form for spouses and significant others to be jealous about who their partners have 'lunch' with. Business is business. Also, married or not, people can still have friends of the opposite gender, and 'lunch' is the meal reserved for 'friends'. But, perhaps I have been away for too long and now the Capitalist World is expecting its Slaves to do business dinners the same way it used to demand they do business lunches, following the same rule of excluding anybody not in the Company. Since all of the Downsizing, it would only make sense that the Corporations would rachet up their demands on those few lucky survivors that got to keep their jobs. It comes down to giving their employees a choice -- do you want a private life or do you want a career?

Anyway, looking at the anatomy of your 'Tornado', you must realize that these social situations are not simple anymore. You and your boyfriend are not Ma and Pa on the farm. He has a very complicated career agenda. He was forced to defend this Lady to you because, affair or not, she is connected to his career ambitions somehow. It appears you have a separate agenda. Indeed, I honestly can't imagine how, in this modern world, anybody can have a solid stable relationship. Since the emancipation of Women, we no longer have active husbands and passive wives, but we effectively have two husbands for each household -- that is two people with two separate career agendas. How could that possibly work? The Positive is that two good paychecks can buy a much better lifestyle. But the Negative is that such a 'marriage' is nothing better than a roomate arrangement for convenience -- the separate careers make for separate lives. If you expect anything more, than it is just going to be a Tornado.
