Meaning of dream about babies and giving birth

Hi. Can someone please help me understand my dreams a little better.

Background info: I had a bad relationship with very difficult person. Now im in a another relationship that has been good but recently has gone a little bit down south.

So this is the first dream and i saw this last week:

I've had a baby with my ex boyfriend and he left me alone with the baby all the time. He didn't care about him/her at all and I was the one doing everything and stressing my self out cause of the baby. This dream was very unpleasant and oppressive.

This in what I saw last night:

I was in the end of my pregnancy with my current boyfriend. Somehow we knew that expected date of delivery was the next Saturday. I was 100% sure that the baby is coming on that day but my boyfriend thought it would come few days late so when saturday came he made other plans for him self. On Saturday night i went in to labour and drove my self to the hospital by myself. at the hospital i tried and tried to contact with my boyfriend and letting him now that i was in labour but i couldnt reach him. I was very upset and stressing if he misses the birth of his child. I was feeling very dissapointed of him and I knew he would do this to me. In the end i cant remember if he made it to the hosspital on time but i remember that the dream ended before the baby was born.

So whats up with these baby dreams??

I know that im not pregnant and not planing to be (actually babies and these dreams make me feel very uncomfortable).
I have had dreams about babies before but in those dreams there were no guys involved. After those dreams something good has always happened but these dreams are very dark and almost like nightmares. Are those two dreams related to each other?

I think that since you are not pregnant and not planning to be and the thought of the baby makes you uncomfortable, in my opinion these dreams are not about babies, but the babies stand for something else.

Yes, I definitely think these dreams are related. It's like your mind is comparing your previous relationship to the current one.

The baby could be a symbol for something precious to you or "when it counts" or in times when you need your boyfriend to be there, and your mind is reminding you that your ex was never there during those times. Also having a baby is planning for a more permanent future together, the baby could symbolize future for you, and it is saying that having a future with your ex was impossible.

In contrast the current relationship looks better. It's not like he is never there when it counts, and it is important that in your dream you believe that he would be there if only he knew that you need him right now. However, you are wondering whether the difference is enough, whether when push comes to shove in times of crisis, he really will be there for you. You are wondering if the difference is good enough to nurture a future together. You also think I think that he does not listen to you enough, and does his own thing, even when it is important for you that he be there for you. Yes, you realize this relationship is better than with your ex, but is it better enough, is I think what you are asking yourself.

I think part of you is wondering whether this relationship will last, and not sure about it.

Good. Keep in mind that your dreams may be exaggerating your fears, and may not be providing you with the answers. This dream does not mean that your current boyfriend will not be there when it counts, but it is asking the question about whether he will be. You need to figure out the answer, but your dream is not making this decision for you.
