Demon hurts baby

In my dream I am not myself like someone else but I feel like myself. Well me and husband was looking at a house. We head to garage lady has some nice car he asks to drive it. We go for a ride. I am in backseat and see a what I think is a witch flying in the sky. It makes me feel scared. No one else noticed it. Then all of sudden I am looking through a dresser find a small cross necklace like for a child. I then am on a train or subway and holding a baby. I trying to put the cross necklace on the baby it falls and this women who I feel is an evil demon grabs necklace and hands to me. But the cross seems to have hurt her hand. I try to see but she hides her hand. I then have a dream or vision in my dream that she is a demon and that she grabs the baby before I get cross on it and keeps bashing the baby head on the train blood is dripping down baby's face. I realize it didnt happen yet and quickly put the cross on baby. I wake up. Now the baby is not mine in the dream and I dont know if the baby is a boy or a girl. But I am very scared of this demon women hurting the baby, I feel very protective.

I am not sure what to make of this dream, but here are a few thoughts: whenever I have a dream when I feel like I am not myself, when later analyzing it I think of these questions: Is there anything else in this dream that maybe is not what it appears - could this be a metaphorical dream? Try some associations of what else you think of when you think of some of the elements in this dream, such as house - car - witch - cross - baby. For example for me a house is a safe place. A car allows for change of place. Witch is mean. Cross protects. Baby is innocent. So then this could be about leaving a safe place, and protecting an innocent? Now even the word place could be just metaphorical, so maybe leaving the safety of innocence, acquiring knowledge that could do harm, having learned something you wish you had not learned ... Another reason why I sometimes dream like I am not myself is to distance myself because otherwise the emotions would be too strong. Often those kinds of dreams are too close to home, about something that is deeply bothering me, heavily weighing on my mind.

This is pretty close to my life. I do have a baby and we are looking for a new home to buy. What does the evil have to do with me? I am Christian and presented my child to god recently....

Is the denomination of Christianity that you are a part of one where your preacher talks a lot of fire and brimstone and sin and evil? Not all Christian preachers do, but if yours is like that, then your mind may be just has a particular sermon stuck in it that dealt with evil, and you incorporated it into this dream as a nightmare threatening your baby. As parents we often worry that someone or something will hurt our kids - it is part of the protective instinct. Edit: A few more ideas: You are likely worried about whether the new home and new neighborhood will be a safe place for your child / a good place for him or her to grow up in safety, also the prospect of a move can be stressful and daunting for anyone but if you add a baby it becomes much more difficult - this stress of a move with baby may be what is troubling you.
