"if she is calling you, she is calling you"

A week ago I had a dream I was back in school. What seemed to be my first College class I became good friends with an Asian girl and remember being excited about finally being back :-D. So we were coming from somewhere and having a good time I seemed extremely happy. All of a sudden every other step to get to the second floor starts falling and I just remember seeing people jump I dont know if they landed on the floor or jumped to another step because what I saw was their bodies jumping over me and it was such a nice day out. I remember thinking to myself their dumb why did they all jump at once. Since we were close to the floor we got on the floor and got close to a clean clear pool because it was safe there. Then me and my mom are talking to some girl who knew a cousin from my dads side who lives in florida and she was telling my mom how she saw and felt all these signs the day before that everything happened and flowers were following her home. I got the vive I was in florida and the girl leaves and my mom tells me that's weird because usually flowers means death. Then all of a sudden we have our backs to an elevator door and facing the stairs that fell apart and they had replaced them with inflatable black ones. My mom was scared of me going to school and having what happen the day before happen again. So I told her mom if you feel like your intuition is telling you something bad is going to happen I wont go to school today is fine. She told me to go and I insisted if she wasnt comfortable with it I wont go to class. She gave me a hug and I remember her holding on to me and telling me "if she is calling you , she is calling you" ... witch in the spanish culture practically means death "if death is calling you" we say she since she have the whole he and she thing to everything. Then I woke up.Wbut, I remember when she said that to me I felt confused like she was exagerating but scared because she feel y like something may happen.

Stardom101, I would not be scared if I were you. Dreams do tend to exaggerate, and I suspect that most dreams about death are not really about death. For example, one could dream of death because something is ending, perhaps a phase of one's life or something that may seem like a finite deal to one's subconscious. You say in this dream you were back in school. What is happening in your life now? Any major life lessons or major changes?

Well, I just took my GED and I should be getting my results this week. Once I receive that I will be going back to school is a must for me. Maybe thats what the half inflatable stairway represents that iffi time I had without doing anything about it?

I would think that the GED and returning back to school after iffy time would be related to this dream. You say that "going back to school is a must" for you, this "must" aspect I think is prominent in this dream: there is pressure/stress and lack of choice that I think is a large part of the dream. In the dream you think they are dumb why did they all jump at once, and that reminds me of the popular myth about lemmings: the myth goes that they commit mass suicide by all jumping off a cliff in a herd, and that one lemming does it and all others do it too. This is actually a myth, not what these rodents do at all, but it is a popular myth, and people say that someone is a lemming if they do something blindly following the crowd, doing something because someone else does it, not because they have a good reason - it's about blind following, and the opposite of individuality. I wonder whether that scene on the stairs in your dream is a bit about that. Are you concerned about the expectations of organized education, and what effects that will have on your individual choice of what to do, that maybe you won't have a choice of action? Of course, if that is not a concern for you at all, please disregard this idea.

When I say is a "must" is because I used to be a straight A student I genuinely loved school. It is something that is extremely important to me not for anyone else but just because i think it will fill in a gap i have, i think about it everyday. I went through a rebellious stage since I was pretty much locked indoors as a teenager and did bad in School since that's the only time I got to socialize. I think I am scared to fail my classes and not choosing what I really want to do. I really want to don't know counseling but I want to do something that is a lil bit shorter. Basically I want to take care of my plan B and then A.

Ah, in that case, I think it could be that the staircase scene may be about your fear of failing. I think in dreams falling often represents failing, and of course dreams often portray our fears.
