      Dreams of dead people

I've been having these really annoying nightmares for some time now and all of them has one thing in common. -Dead people. And they're always after me too. well almost.

One of the dreams which I remember is where I'm standing on a sinking ship. It was weird because it was sinkin but somehow it still wasn't, because it was moving. Around the ship, in the water there were lots of dead bodies and their eyes were following me.

Another one: I'm going home and when I'm going up the stairs there was a dead girl lying on the top floor. When I saw the body i knew something was chasing me, but I didn't know what. While I was trying to run away from it I just kept seeing more dead people it had killed on the way. In the end everybody knew it was me it was after so they used me as bait, and I end up dead. Lying there "dead" I see the dead follow me with their eyes, once again.

There's plenty more with the dead watching me. I'm not usually scared when I'm having these dream, but it's a bit freaky with the whole "I'm watching you " thing.. anybody who knows what these dreams means? I know I didn't write that much about what happened in the dreams, but it was just the "dead" thing I was trying to explain:p

Water tends to represent emotions, and the ship is the exploring of emtional aspects of yourself. You feel like you are sinking yet continue exploring yourself. The dead bodies represent parts of you the died, old ways and whatnot.
Death doesn't represent death but change and the end of something old and in the past. Being chased means avoiding something you cannot and that you cannot see it suggests that it is an anxiety or something unconfirmed. It is what is killing everyone meaning it is the problem.
One question is whether or not you can see the sky (hope & solace) or the sun (vitality and accomplishment.)
Overall it sounds like your unkown fears are overly restricting the way you live your live and being your real self. Much of you, in parts, are repressed and unallowed, and you are afraid to be who you really are inside.

Oh wow, thank you That reply answered many of my other questions that I've been thinking about. Guess you learn lots about yourself trough dreams.
If you don't mind me asking, but since you seem to know pretty much about dream interpretation, where have you learned all this? Any tips for a noobie like me?

I have been studying dreams on the internet a lot for a long long time, including dream symbol dictionaries, both on the internet and hardback. It's just a hobby of mine. There are trends, and my suspicions. First comes the meaning, then the symbol formation. And it's all egocentric too. I do come to suspect that inside the person is a whole society of parts, it's like a city of forces. I was always baffled by the netherworld down in there. I also supect dreams are closer to a leakage than a message. That's all I can think of right now.

As for advice, I recomment the internet dream dictionarys such as dreammoods.com where you can keyword search individual details.
I tend to do a yahoo keyword search with "dream symbol dictionary" and the individual item I would like interpreted at a time.

That's not good enough, a warning of what? and from what? Dreams don't predict the future. That's just a forboding notion without basis.

I have to agree with inspirer on this one, I don't think that dreams predict the future. And even if it was a warning, as inspirer said, it's not good enough. There must be more to it than that. I'm not saying you're wrong though, since everybody has the right believe in whatever they want. But don't go call him a dumbass just because you don't agree with what he's saying.

Dreamcatcher05, Dreamcatcher05, Dreamcatcher05, learning child of mine, I have been snapped at by strangers on the internet far worse than how I talked to you. You have got to grow thicker skin than that!
I am also basically unlike minded to you. I'm not given to superstition, horoscopes, prognostication, or irrational cause & effect that so many others are. A dream of corpses as a "warning" would send a chill down one's spine, but I believe it to be not only incorrect but possibly harmfully misleading. It also distracts from the likely truth. I have read many hundreds of nightmares on the internet and death represents change or the end of the old, and a corpse would likely represent the remains of an old way, or part of oneself.
I don't mean to shake the finger at you and say "you're wrong" like an expert, indeed you named your souce which is more than I have done, but why don't we slow down on these vague omens of doom and perhaps give the ENTIRE interpretation that book says about dreams about the dead.

      Tellin the future.

Just on the thought of it being impossible for dreams to show the future. I have no proff, obviously, as no one does, But in my opinion I think it's quite possible. Even if it is just an extreme coincedence. There have been controversys over that matter. Most dealing in a collective subconsious. People seeing things in dreams that happened at a different time somewhere else, but they don't hear about it till later. Or, in my own personal experience, I had a dream the night before 9'11 that had an extreme correlation to that event. Could have been a foretelling, or like I said, extreme coincedence. I like to keep an open mind to anything.
