Dream about sleeping in my dream...

Hey guys I had a dream the other night that I was trying to fall asleep in my dream.... But every time i tried to fall asleep I would get this pain..Which would cause me to not be able to fall asleep. This pain felt real and every single time I tried to fall asleep in my dream I would get this big pain in my body and it would keep me from falling asleep (in my dream)!! But I kept trying to fall asleep over and over again for some reason and it kept happening. Any ideas?

Could you have had some sort of pain and discomfort actually while you were asleep, for example if you had indigestion or were lying in an uncomfortable position? Alternatively, maybe the physical pain in the dream was symbolic for some sort of emotional pain or stress? Is there something in your waking life that is bothering you right now? Another idea: it could be that this dream is about inability to progress, or restlessness?
