Dream about a parasite in my ear

      Hello everyone.
I am going through a really tough period. My mother has cancer and will start her treatment soon and 5 days ago I experienced my first (and very cruel) break up (after a 3 year relaionship, and I am 16) because of cheating (he cheated). My father is loosing his job. As you can imagine I am quite... devastated because everything is going wrong. I am wondering if my dream has anything to do with these events.

I dreamed that I was at the doctor with my parents because they wanted to discuss about my mother. We left and we sat at a cafe in the street. Suddenly, my parents looked at me and started talking. They said "Arya, we have to tell you the truth." I was really surprised, curious and scared.
"The doctor does not take care of your mother. He takes care of you. You have a parasite in your LEFT ear. If you experience any intence feeling, it will kill you."

I know that the left side of the brain is responsible for anything analytical, logical, precise, repetitive, organized, scientific, detached, literal, sequential, anything about details.
      Do you have any ideas?

      Thank you in advance.

I think that this dream is telling you that it will kill you to have intense emotions, because you are so worried about your mother that you would rather be numb than acknowledge the emotion overload of worrying about her.

When we feel fear and anxiety our body is telling us that something dangerous is happening or about to happen. This response provoces us to fight or flee. Because of that the mind wants us to avoid feelings of fear and anxiety, since these feelings tell us we are in danger of dying. Therefor it seems very logical to try and control or avoid your feelings. But that usually only leads to more suffering. So I would say that you think that you have to avoid the really painful feelings that naturally will come up in a situation like this.

And when your mother and your father is facing these crises, who will take care of you? When people meet such crises it can be hard to see that people around them also are affected. It seems to me that you want someone to help you to. Have you talked with your family members about this is affecting you? (you don't need to answers, just something you can think about).

I could also recommend a really good book called "The Reality Slap" by Russ Harris.
