Anyone want to take a stab at interpreting my dream?
Here's a little background on the setup of the dream. There's 2 medium sized rooms next to each other and a hallway that connects the rooms. At the end of the hallway is another hallway that leads somewhere else. I didn't go down it, but I remember it being in the dream.
Here's a diagram:
Hallway goes

The rundown:
So last night I had this dream where I was hanging out with some people in this room (labeled left). It was kind of like a game room where you play ping pong and stuff. Later as we were doing stuff (I don't know what exactly), this group of “bandits” (that's how I remembered them feeling like to me), took over the right room. Everone was scared and ran out frantically down to the far left hallway. I guess I went with them too, but I don't remember what was down there. I just kind of phased out, but then later I phased back walking out from the hallway and kept saying we needed to lock the left room so the bandits don't get in. They were being really roudy in the right room and there were a lot of people wearing leather jackets and stuff. It seemed really hectic and disorderly to me and I was afraid of it.
I run to the double doors of the left room and put a padlock on it with chains to lock the doorhandles together (this room is a room that feels safe or important to me and the right room is infested with these bandits who I think if they notice me will try and take over the left room, too.). I feel like I want both the rooms to be “safe”, but they're not so I have to protect the left room for now by locking it and go back down the hallway into who knows where. The problem is that the chains and lock are really junky and I can't seem to get it to lock. I eventually do, but it's not the best lock. My “friends” around me are egging me on to lock it so they can go, and it makes me angry because I want it to be secure. After I get it to lock, I feel uncertain and insecure about it, but then I wake up.
Thanks for any interpretations you can give.
