Affair, torture, and dismemberment

My husband. myself and my daughter were living in this house. We had these neighbors. Well the neighbors wife would come over to visit. (The girl was a girl I went to elementary and jr. high with. Haven't seen her in years) Anyways our plumbing was messed up in the bathroom. So I went into the living room to tell my spouse about the plumbing. And I see her laying on his chest. So I ask what's going on. And they acted like it was normal that they were doing that in front of me. So I became enraged and told him I was leaving him. At that moment out of no where my ex was there (seemed like we were in a different place not the house this was all taking place in.) And I remember how good it felt that he was there and the attraction we had at one time years back. Now he is poof...just gone. (It seemed like it was a daydream in the middle of the fight with my spouse.) So my friend comes over to help me pack up mine and my daughters stuff so my dad could come help us move it. My friend left to the store. I was in the backyard when all the sudden the girl from next door came out to talk to me. But all the sudden my spouse and some other man (I hadn't seen this man in the house previously...if it matters.) grab her from behind. At that moment all i could hear was people screaming. I went inside and saw the people in different rooms that they were torturing and dismembering.(at this point I began to see why our plumbing was plugged. And I remember thinking maybe the reason he acted so nonchalant about this affair was because he didn't really like her. That they just needed a victim. And was wondering why they had never hurt me.) I was thinking how could I live here and not know this was happening! I ran back outside and saw a man in a water trough that was in the process of being boiled. The fire under the trough was barely starting. I started running jumping fences to get 2 houses down to get help. Then the dream ended. I woke up feeling emotionally drained. I could still hear all the screaming in my head also. Thanks for any help with this.

Even though I've read before men have more violent and sexual dreams (maybe they just mean more frequently per man rather than by each man), I swear this website proves the opposite. Then again, many probably don't find all these things as disturbing and so don't post about it. I digress. Have you really ever experienced anything real messed up (maybe not to this degree) in your life before? Ever had a fascination or interest in it? Like as a subject of study or anything? Has anything happened that might have kind of triggered this that you can think of? I'm sorry, I don't feel like I can interpret dreams all that well unless I know more information about the dreamer. In fact this is one of the very few times besides the post I just made in another thread in this section that I even post in Dream Interpretation.

Hi! Thanks for the reply. As far as experiencing anything messed up goes...Just the one occasion where someone was shot and left in my yard of all the yards on the block. I knew of the person just didn't know them personally. It was a small area....everyone knew of everyone. Other than that I have been more than one abusive situation. I do have an interest in things macabre. I have a thing about serial killers and murder period. Just a part of me wants to know what makes people tick. And what makes people snap and do the things they do sometimes. I don't know, none of this may be of any help at all. It's not unusual for me to have some weird sometimes "strong" dreams as I call them. But this one bothered me I think because it involved my spouse in a strange way. I am also going through some changes involving my daughter's dad who is in prison. Other than that I don't really have too awful much going on. I appreciate your response and willingness to help me out. Hey! I don't mind answering your questions. As far as the girl goes. No particular feelings towards her. She was a really nice girl. I do recall feeling bad for her. The reason being was because in our Jr high years I did notice things about their household that differed from my own. It was way more chaotic than my own. I always felt something was off at her house when I was over there. Although I never was able to figure out exactly why it felt that way. I don't feel my current relationship has any deep problems. This is the best relationship I have ever been in. Open communication, no abuse, lots of trust between the two of us. Only thing that bothers me sometimes is the drinking he does. It doesn't change him or his attitude towards me when he drinks. Its more of a health issue I worry about coming around from his drinking. Especially with the recent loss of his father and the reasons for his illness. Jealousy...not so much. Not to say I have never been jealous. There just isn't much of it in this relationship. And that would be because of the trust and respect we have for one another. ( unlike my past relationships). I do think of my ex at times. We had a lot of fun together, but we also had a lot of problems. I think when the relationship ended there was no real closure to that long term relationship. I by no means want him back or anything. I think I feel bad for him and his life circumstances and all. While together I really tried to help him get it together. We had an intense relationship. Very strong connection. I have pondered on a couple of these questions before. Only to become impatient and put it off because an answer wasn't becoming clear quick enough. I also due tend to push things down inside. No disrespect or offense was taking from your questions. Appreciate your help Good! I mean, personal issues often tend to get kind of problematic easily. And since I think that dreams mostly involve personal issues for one self, then I just want to asure you that Im not have the intention to be provocative or offensive in my interpretion of any ones dreams. But merely tell what I see. Here is my interpretion. our plumbing was messed up in the bathroom. So I went into the living room to tell my spouse about the plumbing. Since the bathroom is a pretty private space to be in, and that there was a problem with the plumbing, that could be seen as a blocking. So it sounds that the dream are refering this scenario as that there is some sort of blocking/problem in your private life. So I went into the living room to tell my spouse about the plumbing. I think you are probably dead on with your interpretation of this dream. I believe I should absolutely take the time to deal with my inner stuff. I see it as a big benefit even if it means facing some negative situations along the way.I've spent half of my life fleeing myself ( from a number of things throughout my life) and the other half self medicating to make avoidance even easier. (Well at the time it seemed easier. But in the end it made things more problematic.) I have almost 8 yrs of sobriety and am still learning how to deal with myself and all the things I avoid.
