Fatherly advice from beyond the grave?

I've dreamt of my father and I driving in his old Chevy van that he use to drive.He passed away in 2003 by lung cancer.He looked exactly like the last time I saw him at age 57,I was in present state at age 27. I remember there was fog around the streets like typical dreams depicted in movies.He was on the driver seat and I was the passenger.He stopped the van and looked at me with a smile below his mustache. Father:It's your turn to drive son.Take the wheel.(the wording may not be 100% exact) I got on the driver seat and proceeded to drive.A warmth of good feeling came about.I looked at him and asked him what any rational person would ask a dead person. Me: Dad,what happens when you die? He looked at me with a blanket stare .No response.I don't know why but it felt very eerie for some reason,almost like he took some vowel of silence that he wasn't aloud to share with the living. That is when a large tree that had collapsed on the road cause me to try and make a left turn on the opposite side of the road.But a pickup truck swooped out from behind me almost side swiping us.I woke up instantly with my cat Milo nibbling on my finger. My own interpretation is that i need to take control of my life which explains him passing me the steering wheel,which was his symbolic way of advising me..But the large tree and the pickup truck seemed random.I'd just like a more solid interpretation than my assumption. Post script:I haven't posted since 2008,so I'm happy to be back.
