Same boy, different dream?

((I hope this is the right forum for this... )) I remember having non-lucid dreams where, in one way or another, a boy was involved. Now, you might think that he's just another dream character and that I'm just seeing this blurry in non-lucid dreams. But every time I wake up from the dream, I always think back to other dreams where I've met a boy similar to him. It always feels like I've seen him before, like I've met him before, yet I can never remember what he looks like exactly, probably because I can't recall it, or because the dream just wasn't specific enough. As far as I remember, I've met him three times, and that's only the dreams I remember! Here are the three times I've met him (not going into detail about the full dream itself, that would be long): 1. This is the first time I remember seeing him. I was having a dream that I was in an average sized brick school, and I was surrounded by books and strange shapes/creatures that weren't scary at all, just not "human" (even though they were all speaking). I met him inside a classroom, and there may or may not have been a girl with him that I also met (though I don't really remember her much). They were the only human-looking people in the school. We became pretty good friends, and finally I realized I would have to wake up/leave the school (I don't know how I thought of waking up without realized I was dreaming). I remember saying goodbye to him and waving, promising I would see him again one day. That's the first time I met him. For a while, I was pretty sad that I didn't see him again, since he seemed nice. 2. The next dream was a while later, and is actually quite recent (maybe a couple of weeks ago). When I saw him, he was explaining me events that happened in the dream (ironically, those events were all dream related). I asked him a few questions before "waking up", which ended up being a false awakening. I like to think that he somehow "led me" into a false awakening. 3. The last dream was just a few nights ago. The dream was again a different scenario than the first and second, but he was again my friend. I was running through a village with him and eventually we sat down on some steps. From what I could see in the dream, he seemed to be in love with me or to at least like me. I wasn't necessarily interested in him, and saw him as a friend. Later a girl (from the first dream?) appeared, and she seemed to like him. She also began singing, which he said he didn't really like, but I did. The dream continued later. When I woke up, I realized the scene with the boy had nothing to do with the actual story of the dream, like it was a sort of "extra". I am convinced it was the same dream, though. I've thought about it a lot, and the more I think about it, the more I am convinced that this is the same boy. What confuses me, though, is wether he is just a dream sign I haven't noticed in the past, a reoccurring dream character, or actually my dream guide that I haven't met while being lucid. The reason I think he could possibly be my dream guide is because: a) In the first dream, though I didn't mention it, he is the one to ask me to promise I would see him again. b) In the second dream, he was talking to me about dreams and about me going to some sort of "dream academy" to test people in their dreams, which then led to my false awakening. c) In two of the dreams, he referred to me as his friend. In the first dream, we had just met, while in the third, we already seemed to be friends. d) The girl I mentioned in the first and last dream? She never seemed to stick it out as much as the boy, despite me having seen her twice already in seemingly long dreams that I recalled almost perfectly. However, in the third dream, he seemed to be in love with me, which doesn't make sense because he's never done that in other dreams. Keep in mind, the last dream was a few nights ago, the night I had my first two lucid dreams. I am convinced that it is the same boy, maybe even my dream guide. I haven't had the chance to meet him while lucid, and I don't even know if I could willingly find him again. I don't even know his name, or anything about his looks other than he is a bit shorter than me, I think. I remember his hair being vaguely curly, but I can't remember his hair color, let alone his face. I know he has an even/white skin tone. That's all. But I cannot stress enough how convinced I feel that he is the exact same boy. Am I over-thinking it? Or could he really be someone significant to my dreams? I never particularly think of him unless I woke up from having a dream with him, so it can't just be my mind re-putting him in my dreams because I was thinking of him. He gave me his name, but I xan't remember it.Though, I'm the one who have feelings for him . I just joined here and also looking for answers as well. Glad I'm not alone.

It sounds like he's probably your dream guide. The next time you become lucid, ask the dream who he is, or ask for your dream guide. You don't have to ask [I]someone,[I] (even though you can if you want, the person is still your subconscious either way) But you can just ask, the same way you'd say "Clarity Now!". Just... Into the air. I hope you understood what I meant.

It sounds like he's probably your dream guide. The next time you become lucid, ask the dream who he is, or ask for your dream guide. You don't have to ask [I]someone,[I] (even though you can if you want, the person is still your subconscious either way) But you can just ask, the same way you'd say "Clarity Now!". Just... Into the air. I hope you understood what I meant. Hm... the weird thing is, I recently did find my dream guide, and she's nothing like the boy I kept seeing. Is it possible to have multiple dream guides? (Thank you for your advice though, I will try it ^_^)

(Thank you for your advice though, I will try it ^_^) I have heard accounts of multiple dream guides, and I heard they (along with other dream characters) Represent parts of your subconscious. If you ever have a lucid, summon the boy and try to ask what he represents, and/or ask him if he's another dream guide.
