      Toilets and museums

For many years there have been two reccurring scenarios in my dreams (at least, ones that I don't understand).

Firstly, I dream about toilets a lot. Usually public toilets. Sometimes they are part of the story, for example I am looking for a toilet. Sometimes they are background scenery to something completely unrelated going on. Sometimes the dream is directly about the toilet, for example I am cleaning one.

I really don't know why this should be. I think it's kind of funny though.

The other one is museums. A lot of my dreams take place in museums and galleries. They are always quiet and empty. Sometimes I am alone, sometimes I am there with my freinds or classmates. The strange thing is that they are never museums I recognise. And there is always something slightly wrong about the displays or the layout of the museum. It's quite easy to get lost, for example. The atmosphere of the dreams is always quiet, dark (even if the museum itself is brightly lit) and strange.

A museum dream is distinctive. But I have no idea why I have them.

      Thoughts?

Wow, what a contrast. Toilet dreams are very common, as you have found, and I suppose they are meant to remind us of the Human Condition... beings that still have to poop are still a bit short of being Pure Spirit.

But then you have Museum Dreams, and they are quite the opposite in their intent, as they are suggestive of Humanities Higher and more Spiritual Sentiments. Granted, Museums are not Temples, as the focus of a Museum is more oriented toward Aesthetics, which is still somewhat short of any Absolute Truth. But Beauty is closer to Truth than poop, that's for sure.

I don't think there'll be many people arguing with you on that point!

Toilet dreams are common? I've not known anyone who had them. My freinds thought it was really weird when I told them.

Toilet dreams are not uncommon, although it may be that NORMAL toilets are. They pretty much represent your emotional release which may embarrass you.

Then there are the museums which may be about the past, and valued ways. It's probably about the things, ways and ideas you value that are tied to the past. The atmosphere is quiet, empty, and dark even when well lit? The light is familiarity, but you are alone there, and the relics are undiscussed and unperceived. The darkness is likely sadness. And your friends are likely other sides of yourself that are sometimes there with you. Good luck at bringing the museum to life!

Oh, Thank God you backed me up on the Commonality of Toilet Dreams. I thought for a moment that I had confessed to a predisposition for the Scitological that would have designated me as aborrant. I began to go back in my mind and try to remember what I had read in various articles and books that detailed such Wash Room Dreams but then I noticed that your Avatar had been last on the Activity Scroll, and that if I had forgotten the references, then it would be sure that you would remember. Thank you.
