Lost and Chased

I can't say I've had too many lucid dreams [ or any at all ]. But the one reacurring dream I have abut once a year is: I am about 11 outside the mall and it has just finished raining. I am seperated from my mother and I am trying to run away from a dark figure. I finally find a car to hide behind but I look under the car and see the figures footsteps coming towards me, I try to scream but nothing comes out. After I wake up my throat is tensed up. thoughts?

I think we all have dreams at some point and time of running from something and even some that are reoccurring dreams or nightmares. Possibly something you fear but refuse to acknowledge or something you have just simply not thought of in a long time comes to you from deep inside you through your dreams. I find that anything i worry over or get stressed about causes these type dreams and the part of being a child all over again to me would indicate a feeling of helplessness or the simple fact you are running or ran from something you did not think you get resolved.. Just my way of thinking.. i hope this may offer some sort of different insight maybe. scott
