      Hands

To begin, I usually have nightmares, almost exclusively nightmares and just about everynight. However the last 3 I've had have me waking up and remembering most distinctly holding hands with a certain person, and neither dream is pleasant. In one I am holding hands with a friend I love dearly, we are walking holding hands, but it's a nightmare... I don't remember what the horrible thing in it is except that it made me sleep miserably and all i remember is the hand holding part. The second was a nightmare because it took place at this school I attended which I hated so the setting was miserable but there were bad things happening around it I can't remember. However I remember running away and seeing an old very close friend from YEARS back who I'd completely forgotten about and grasping her hands and holding them, the hand holding most again. And the last dream had the same friend as the first one did and we had our hands interlocked while facing each other and bad things were happening and they were crying about something I don't remember what but i remember the hands again... any ideas anyone?

Yes, it is not surprising that amidst the trauma of your nightmares you should reach out to have your hands held. Indeed, I remember when I was a child, when certain painful medicat injections would be required, the nurses would offer to hold my hand, and it was simply assumed that that would be sufficient to make it all bearable, and, indeed, they were largely correct.

It would seem your primary concern should be that you have nightmares each and every night. It would appear that you are under something of a spiritual curse. You or perhaps your family of generations before had once been subjected to a Curse, or maybe it is only some extremely bad karma. You could decide to simply just 'live it down' but that might take years. Or you could do some focussed penance -- do a series of Rosaries, or fast on certain days of the week -- all until this Curse lifts.

      Interesting post, Leo.

Many times, when you dream that you are holding hands with someone, represents your connection with that person. Dreaming of holding hands could also reflect fear or worry about losing touch with the person you are holding hands with. That doesn't really apply though, considering you had totally forgotten about the friend. That's just what I know about it.

Also, to see someone else crying in your dream could be a projection of your own feelings onto someone else. Like, if you're the type of person who doesn't cry in the real world, and you have just gone through something tough emotionally, then seeing someone else crying in your dream could be a way of dealing with it. It's too bad you can't remember exactly why the person was crying.
