stealing candy bars and lake

this dream is crazy at first i am at a mall of some sort and its a school field trip. Then i notice we are like in a target type store,because i remember saying a lot of TVs in the background. Everybody was walking away from that area but me, it was like they were walking ahead of me. Then got there before i did,anyway its a rack of candy bars by the TVs. Some of the people stop and steal some of the candy bars.Then everybody walked away,i was still standing i remember saying this is wrong but i stole some of the candy bars to. It felt like i needed to do it to fit in. Then when i walk outside we are standing by a lake for some reason. At this point i become lucid,and i say where the hell did this lake come from. Then the other students are out there and they point to something on a lil island in the middle of the lake. It was like a gold shining object i couldn't make out what it was. Something told me i had to try and go to get it. And i said to myself i cant swim but since this is a dream i am gonna make myself swim and get it. Soon as i jumped in the water i went straight down and i couldn't move. I could still breath while i was under the water i could see the light shining in from the top of the water. Some how i manage to get up out the water and get back onto some land. Then i leave because i couldn't make it to get whatever it was in the middle of the lake. It made me think i know i am dreaming but i still couldn't swim and go to get it.But i still chose to go instead of flying or something to go to the middle of the lake. if anybody can help i would be thankful

i remember what the shining gold object was in the dream it was a wand shaped like a star like u see on cartoons or something
