i was a tractor

Last night I had a dream that i was a yellow tractor. I have alot of dreams where i am objects such as a mailbox, refrigerator, office desk, and even a toothbrush....but this was the first dream where i was a mobile object. Anyone know what this could mean? HELP PLEASE! Anyone have any dreams like this?

Just curious...when you dream of being an inanimate object, do you get used or do you just sort of exist... waiting to be of use?

I have to admit that I've never heard or read anything about being an inanimate objects before! That's definitely a first for me. I'd be interested to hear more about it, Squirm.

To generalize Vex's question: Do you remember having any feelings? What did you fell? Did you think about what was happening around you? Anyway, I doubt I can help to explain the meaning of that, since nothing like that ever happened to me, I just ask because of curiousity.

To answer your questions................. when i have dreams where i am an object its as if im seeing the world through the eyes of the object. For example....when i dreamt i was a toothbrush, i remember sitting inside a toothbrush holder which was mounted to a wall. I could look up, down, left, and right but was unable to actually move. I saw people (who appeared as though they were giants) walking past me. At one point an old woman picked me up, applyied toothpaste to my bristles (which felt kind of strange) and began to brush her teeth with me. Her mouth smelled like old toast and coffee. I once dreamt i was a pencil and i remember feeling pain when my erasure was used. Im still trying to figure out what the heck these dreams mean.....UGH!

Hmmm. I've never dreamed anything even remotely close that. Not that I can remeber. Then again, I think I'm half senile to begin with. I'm guessing, that dreaming of being an inanimate object might be a sign that you're too idle irl? Waiting for someone else to take you up and make you useful? First thing I thought when I read your initial post. But on the flip side, from your last post, these don't seem to be pleasant dreams. Mabye they are telling you to stop being instrument to be used? Hell, I don't know. Just guessing. Interesting dreams, to say the least.

Hmmmmm interesting interpetation Vex. I live a rather eventfull life though, sometimes maybe to eventfull LoL! Im a co-owner of an outdoor beach bar that is never a boring place. For example, this week we are doing an "all week midgit theme". We have female midgit mud wrestling this saturday night and yesterday we held a midgit rodeo. Ever had to deal with Drunk cowboy midgits? Its not fun! Actually i had an interesting dream regarding one legged carnival workers and dancing midgits last week (go figure).

I knew you would respond saying that you had an active life. Sounds like a pretty exciting one at that. Being a co owner of a business...maybe your dreams are playing out hidden desires of letting someone else be in control once in a while? A little escape from being the one in charge? I really suck at dream interpretation...but I find your dreams of being inanimate objects to be interesting. What do you think they mean? Oh, about the tractor, were you just sitting there or moving? Just curious.

Well, to answer your question Vex........ When I was the tractor i was sitting in a dirt field. I sat there for about 10min and then i saw a rather fat man dressed in what looked like a scottish quilt, wearing no shirt, blue cowboy boots, and a tall black top hat. The man walked up, climbed up the side of me, and sat down. I remember the sound of my seat squeeking as he sat and the weight of his body, which didnt feel like much considering his size. I felt him turn my ignition key which started my engine. Suddenly we were inside a large mall which had rubber dog bones scattered everywhere on the floor. I personally could not make myself move, but when i felt the mans foot press on my accelerator, i began to move forward. I, also, could not steer myself, but could feel him turning the steering wheel which in turn directed my movement. He drove me through the mall, over the rubber dog bones. Each dog bone we ran over instantly turned into a penguin which waddled off. I remember the man, who sounded like he had an asian accent, mumble something about global warming. I wish i knew what these dreams mean.....but alas i really have no idea.

That is really fuckin' bizarre. But cool. I thought I had some strange dreams. Wish I could help ya out with this. I want to know what the hell your dreams mean too...if you ever find out please share. I'm very interested too.
