Here's what I can recall about this particular dream:
The dream was set in winter, snow all around, and I'm swimming in a river. There we many stones creating slow moving eddies which I would relax in. The water was nice and warm, and crystal clear. On occasion I would get out of the water, play in the snow, and then jump back into the water. Also there was a dock nearby, I would climb an embankment nearby the dock, slide down the snowy embankment and make a running jump into the water. All in all, the feeling of the dream was... Quite serene.
The dream struck me because the visuals (more so than the events) really stuck with me. I occasionally peek at a "dream dictionary", just to get another perspective other than my own on what the dream might connote, but... It seems that swimming is a very liberally interpreted item in a dream, and was curious what others interested in dreaming might gather from this.
(As a side note: I tend to recall a lot of dreams, i went for a few years where I recalled very few dreams, but... Lately I have been recalling LOTS of dreams. I tend to also have a lot of recurring themes in my dream {especially but not limited to... discovering new rooms / parts of a house that never existed there in waking life}.
Also... When I was in my teens, I used to be able to easily gain control of my dreams and lucidly dream. Wow! That was really amazing and very satisfying, but... I haven't had a fully lucid dream in probably 10 years! I'm glad I bumped into this forum and look forward to reading more about lucid dreaming and maybe be able to get back into the groove.)
