      Floating

I had a dream where I was in school, outside playing.

And I started jumping, and then I jumped and I just kept going up and up and I looked down and everythign was getting smaller, i remeber getting scared, then I awoke.

I immediately concluded this is a puberty dream.

I love the puberty dreams because they're funny because you're not in control. I read one boy's dream about being on a swing that got bigger and swinging by itself up to 50 feet in the air and he couldn't stop it. Finally he fell and woke up just before hitting ground and could feel the butterflies in his stomach.
Another boy dreamed about laying in bed when something long was wiggling around between the bed & wall, when he grabbed it a huge flat monster came out and devoured him. His parents rushed into the room and said "oh no, it's too late." He asked too late for what and they answered "too late to save you from that monster" as it was eating him.
This category has a feeling to it all it's own. It's funny because it's cute that you are so young and not in control of how you feel. Your emotional swings are so new and so strong that you feel like you are so high up in the air, you titled it "Floating" because you cannot come back down, and it scares you. You might even be unaware of the rest of us as we stand around watching & laughing.

I too have had several of these sort of dreams.

I am often just walking along or standing still when I begin to float into the air.
I cannot control my altitude and normally end up waking myself up.
It gives me the sort of feeling you get when you are at the top of a roller coaster or standing on a roof or something.

I dont agree or even understand why this is a puberty dream as I am well into my 20's, and I still have these dreams quite regularly.

I always just thought I dreamt of flying as it was something I had always wished I could do (nothing deep or meaningful).
It has always been a big part of my dreams and has happened so many times I cant even remember.
I now use it as a dream sign.
It has worked once and I was able to control my flight for a short while before losing lucidity.
      The Sandman is near.
