      Moon dream...

I had a very bizarre dream a few years back. I've never had it again in my life, but this dream has stuck with me all this time. It was so vivid and so real, that when I woke up I honestly couldn't remember who or where I was. In my dream, there was a war going on. I'm not sure if it was Earth, but to me it felt like "home". All I could see was people screaming, running around, completely in a panic. It was night, everything was dark, and as I looked to the sky, I saw something incredibly beautiful, yet terrifying at the same time. It was the moon, about ten times larger than it would look normally; it filled nearly the entire sky. And it was cracked in half. I don't know what happened next, because I woke up abruptly. I've never had a dream like this before. Everything felt so real, there were no monsters, I couldn't fly, it wasn't like anything else I had experienced before. And I can still remember it so vividly to this very day. Any interpretations on this?

      Hello digital-gurl,

Your dream gives a very strong apocalyptic feel.

The dream could be linked with some of your feeling towards a problem in life. Maybe you feel as if something is about to end or something bad is going to happen if it is not sorted out properly. Usually when I have dreams that end in disaster I wake from them abruptly and take them seriously, for the subconscious can find ways to tell you things you didn’t know or you thought you didn’t know.

      I hope this helped.

Were you going through a difficult time when you had this dream? War could mean you are having some sort of emotional struggle or something in your waking life is chaotic.

Since you said the moon is covering nearly all of the sky, I assume it was a full moon, which could signify completion of something. As for why it was so big, I really don't have a clue.

I agree it does have an apocalyptic feel to it, and Earth continues to engage in wars. Moon in dreams magnify the emotions and symbols represented in the dream. At that time was there something in real life that caused an emotional rift within you? The fact the moon is split suggests there is a part of you saying to yourself "to keep a level head and be rational" amongst the chaos at the time.

the dream seems to have a very nice romance around it. perhaps you should write a story about how you think it started and how you think it should have ended.
