keeps happening

I have this weird thing that keeps happening... every time i am in danger in any of my dreams (different kinds of dreams) i try to shout for help but i can´t! the only thing that comes out of my mouth is this tiny-winy mouse-like sound...

you are speaking in your sleep, and the noise you hear is your actual voice. this used to happen to me when i had a recurring nightmare as a child...frustrating! i'd recommend trying to take a different approach to frightening situations

but couldnt she also scream in her dream? so that she could actually hear it? ive had something like that... a dream where i was trying to tell my family something, i dont remember what, but no sound came out of my mouth. frustrated, i threw a chair at the wall to try to get their attention, then they accused me of being angry at them.

Sounds a lot like inability to express yourself.

I had this exact same problem as a child. I would have a recurring dream where I was behind a locked screen door and trying to shout for help to a person who had his/her back turned. I would try to shout and nothing came out, I tried to bang on the door but my hand would sort of, slow down so it did not make any noise. Eventually I stopped trying and stood there. After I tried that, the dreams stopped. - Axis

well then, it seems resolved, i guess u can either not have nightmares or you can take care of them the lucid way... both work equally well

do you notice the dream each time you have it, while you're in it? or is it only afterwards
