      Recurrent Scenarios - not lucid yet but damn i wish i was

      :: hope i chose the right forum for this, mods, feel free to move::

      for years now (maybe 10 years , im just 22), i have visited a place in my dreams which i call 'dream gloucester' ( i live in glos, UK). i could draw a map of the place i know it so well, its half based on the real gloucester. i visit it maybe 65% of the time i dream, its like having another life almost, although its still clearly dreambased, its not like being awake! i could go on and on about it, i already have and have reedited this post plenty as i cant describe it adequately. what im trying to say in a roundabout way is, has anyone experienced this? a recurring dream that isnt just a scenario but an actual place you can explore and move about in, in a coherent fashion?

      let us know, its a lot of fun and id love to find ppl i could discuss this with

      Yes, I experience the same type of thing, I think - I go back to my old school and walk around sometimes. It's kinda weird actually.. But to have the same awesome dreamscape to go to every night would be great!

      every time i go on holiday i have new places i occasionally visit, like i have a dream paris, morocco is actually part of dream gloucester now, i have a souk to visit there, dream countryside for the areas around where i grew up. theres probably more but i may have only gone a couple of times and since forgotten them

      Yeah, I had frequently recurring nightmares when I was little (mostly due to severe anxiety) but like yours, it was the same dreamscape, and the same scenario always repeated itself.

      In your case, this sounds very impressive!

      i just wish i could explore and go back to places ive been before. like theres this dock area with scrubby grassland where i dreamt i was at a party and dropped acid and i want to go and party again! and theres the kind of clubby/bar-y area i want to check out again. and as for my dream flat, i need to tidy up and also feed the pink, pidgeon sized budgies (i have budgies in real life). im starting to work on my dream recall but unfortunately im impatient and just want to start being lucid without the actual work. the other problem is i spend several nights a week sleeping at my workplace (im a support worker) and its not always realistic to get up and fill out a dream diary, or try getting up for 2 hours in the middle of the night and then go back to bed etc etc. i think im just making excuses really
