      Sex with animals, Personality change?

So I had this dream, and I was on a ski trip with my church. We were heading back to the bus, and when we were loaded, a deer sat down next to me. I am sure that everyone was on except for one girl, Jordana, who I'm really attracted to. I asked this deer if it wanted to have sex with me. It responded like a human with this apathetic voice and said "no". I said "Okay, that's fine, we can do it later."

In real life, I don't think I'd ever have sex with an animal (deer), however I'd definitely go for Jordana.

So, does a person's personality change when they're dreaming? or is your mind sometimes tricked into thinking that a certain thing is something else, but when you wake up and recall the dream, it turns out that (in this case) you were actually dreaming an object/animal/person that wasn't that object/animal/person?

That might have been a little confusing. Sorry.

I moved this to Dream Interpretation for you.

In most dreams, what you see isn’t always literal. Our minds work in pretty abstract ways. In other words, that deer may have represented something else--perhaps a feeling of rejection from someone you wouldn’t really want to have sex with anyway, if that makes sense?

“Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.”

My guess is that this deer represents Jordana and that you want to have sex with HER.
The deer is probably a side of your relationship with her and you animalisticly sense that the lustiness is not mutual.
It's also apparent that there's spirituality involved (the church), and conformity (the bus) and also pushing yourself to the limit of your abilities (the skiing.)

This dream indicates that you are still sexually immature... even primitive. You are likely to treat your sexual partners no better than if they were animals, though you do have your preferences, with some people being more 'deer' to you then others. But for their benefit, you should be kept in some kind of social quarantine.

For me at least, this happens all the time. Very few things in my dreams actually appear as they would in real life, and many times they look nothing like they should. For example, I once dreamt of going to a choir class with my boyfriend, who appeared to be a plastic bag. (Thick, clear plastic bag with black seams/straps.) Of course in my dream that seemed completely normal. (And my boyfriend turned husband will never let me live it down. ><)

I think for me, this is because mentally I have always relied heavily on symbolism, even so far as not setting my own place at the dinner table until the rest are set, doesn't matter if anyone is watching or not.

I have had a dream about fucking a horse. It was a lucid one, so I found it reasonable to do it. I've also had regular dreams, involving attempts to have sex with pets. But I do know they are not pets; they are humans in animal shape.

I've also had dreams about having a shark in my house, that had my dog's body. This stuff is really confusing.
