A dream with someone i havent seen for a long time

Hi guys - first post here! first a bit of background info as suggested in the sticky. Im male, 21 years old, student and recently started a new casual job in a liquor store. Im from a smallish city in australia of 75 000 people. Our particular liquor store has 2 outlets. I worked friday afternoon. Friday night i had a dream that i was at work and a guy from the other store came into my shop to collect some stock (it was a single carton of Bundaburg Rum premix cans) i cannot remember the exact reason but it was something to do with them being on sale at another store. The guy in the dream was a guy who went to my high school but he was a couple of years older than me, i think probably 2 years. I cannot recall ever speaking to him but as you do when you're young you look up to the older people so i knew who he was. I havent seen this guy since he left high school and i finished in 2000 so that means i havent seen nor even thought of him for at least 6 years. So thats about it for the dream.. when i woke up i didnt think much of it just 'oh thats weird' and i remember hearing something once that if you have a dream about a friend you havent seen in a long time it can be a sign that you will run into them in the near future.. so get this. Saturday night i was out at the local pub. where i go every week. This guy was there! ive never seen him there before let alone seen him anywhere else, like i mentioned. i was just wondering does this mean something? why did i dream about this person i never knew and havent seen for a long long time and then suddenly i saw him. Or is it just pure coincidence?

Pure coincidence! Observer bias is error introduced into measurement when observers overemphasize phenomena they expect to find and fail to notice phenomena they do not expect or the absence of the expected. If you did not happen upon him you would not be reporting this dream.
