believe me its just a normal part of dreams, i mean look at me, i had a dream i shot a bus driver because he wouldnt take my money, that someone was singing "freedom isnt about falling off a cupboard" repeatedly, and all these weird images were created about people falling off of things, i was killing an army of zombies with a pillow, YES A PILLOW!!! i was scared when i walked into my bathroom and i didnt know why and finnally i opened my bedroom door and i realized that i was in hell...

Everyone has dreams that make no sense, so dont bother interpreting them, any of them, they probably dont mean anything important, infact i would be quite worried about anyone that didnt have these kinds of dreams, so believe me when i say this, dreams are basically supposed to make no sense, because of the simple fact that, they are nothing like reality.

I hope that i have been of some help...

Oh sure, I have them all the time. I remember one where a pair of possessed children (I couldn't tell their gender) were stabbing another child in a sand box with safety scissors, a chicken was in my living room, and apparently my tongue had fallen out. It makes me wonder what the midgets in my brain do when I'm not looking.

Well its actually a good question.

First take the following dream "I was charging on my horse with mel gibson by my side. We were going to take the english on and beat them"

Thats clearly a dream that has a plot. These dreams will make some sense. These dreams have a sense of emotion in them. Such dreams have a meaning because they refer to real life situations where the dreamer is facing a similar set of emotions eg "tomorrow I have a major exam I am determined to do well. Its going to be a challenge but its a challenge I am prepared to take"

Now lets take your dream "there was this baby swinging on a swing.. and then this child was drinking milk but he'd like, smell it first? and then my grandpa was there making fun of me for being a vegetarian "

Your dream does have a symbolic meaning and will in fact capture some feeling in your life. each of the symbols have a meaning. I cannot say specifically what the meaning is but here are some possiblities

GRANDPA : some connection with the passage of time "its taking ages" "I wonder how long it will take"
BABY : something new - a new project? a fresh new feeling
VEGETARIAN : something a bit different and out of step
MAKING FUN : you feel a sense of being ridiculous - you are sensitive about something

The list of symbols above is not exhaustive. Only you can know the precise meaning of each symbol. To be honest I am not sure what vegetarian means in dreams...

But dreams do make sense - even odd dreams like this . what you do is weave together the symbols to make a meaning. It could mean that "it was taking so long. I felt ridiculous"

But really only you can decode such dreams with any real chance of success. I can understand my own dreams but its very difficult to understand anyone elses

Try first asking yourself some questions
      1. The dream featured poeple making fun - did you feel sensitive or vulnerable in some way on the day before the dream?
      2. What does the term vegetarian mean to you? are you a vegetarian? Meat eating alos has othe rwider meanings such as meat is linked to something substantial
      3. did you see your grandpa the day before the dream? Did he feature in any situation which happened?

Many many dreams actually concentrate on the day before the dream. So think specifically about that. Its no coincidence. Actually we store up thoughts during the day in short term memory only. Then at night we begin to transfer everything that was important that happened the day before into long term memory blocks. whilst doing that we integrate these into long term emotions. so dreams naturally dwell on issues and feelings that we felt yesterday. so in fact write down some quotes that capture your feelings from yesterday eg

"I felt a bit dull yesterday . I could not seem to get interested in anything"

"my boyfriend was teasing me yesterday. I know he is only joking but he talsk about things that I am sensitive about"

Its likely that your dreams link to one of these conceptual thoughts and feelings. After all the dreammind is a conceptual mind

Absolutely, this is completely normal amongst many people. Depending one's sense of not only creativity but based on one's general thoughts, I think dreams form themselves in different ways. Now, many people I know, who just want to be "normal" have very boring dreams. Dreams that are not different in the least from reality. Wandering around school, fighting with parents.

Now to make a generalisation, the more interesting people I know have more complex and sharded dreams. Some build a very concrete plotline sharded with abstract concepts, but in the long run they're just a bit different.

My dreams in general make absolutely no sense and are just a combination of surreal concepts packed into them. Sometimes (a few times a week, maybe) my dreams will have quite the complex plot that I turn into very fun stories, but in general it's just fucked up nonsense.

      Don't worry.

There is one thing you should realize about Dreaming and that is that the Dreamer is always Dreaming. The Waking Person only remembers snippets. Now, the Higher Dream Mind sometimes assures that we remember the more important events that have transpired within the Dream World. But when it comes to the little snippets that you describe, well, that is indicating, in brief, where the Dreamer had gone visiting. Nothing much had happened, but it was worthwhile visiting.

Here, this is what you do the next time you are having a Lucid Dream, you should decide that you would like to remember something... anything. Once in a Dream I recognized the location of the dream and suddenly wanted to remember how often I had come to this locale, and then I was simply flooded with Dream Memories. My God, these memories lead to other memories and I realized that the Dreamer is dreaming and active all the time. Just because we wake up, well the dreamer goes on with his business.

Now, what I like about your snippets of memory is that they seem pleasant. Particularly your Grandfather being present. This indicates a Continuity between the Generations, and that you have the Blessings of your Family. In Spiritual Terms you are something of a Strong and healthy Tree.

If you don't know the baby it is probably a generic symbol of youth, the fact that the baby was swinging could be the freedom of youth, maybe even innocence. The milk represents growth and nourishment. he was smelling it? did it look like a pleasant smell or a foul smell? pleasant could mean a bright future for this baby, foul could be bad, like he dosen't trust that he has nourishment love and support to grow up with. Is this baby your inner child? or does this represent your thoughts about the children of this generation? The grandpa is kinda difficult. If it was good natured teasing it could be about something you find quirky about yourself that sorta runs in the family. If it was mean it could be like mentioned earlier, you are sensitive about something. maybe you feel like you are the black sheep in the family?

Fragmentariness is one of the main features of dreams. I think these episodes are connected by some associations, try to find them if it is important for you.
