In the dream, I was walking up a set of steps that were going up a hill, there was no top to the stairs and no bottom, I just kept walking without thinking that there was. On either side of me was plain brown earth. I was looking to the right at the endless dirt, but only looking to the right, then turned to the left.
Upon looking to the left, the ground started to break apart and float, it looked like a very dry desert where the dirt has cracked up and leaves deep lines in the ground. From the distance walked a man in robed, the robes looked ceremonial and were white with gold trim. It had short sleeves and was very long, dragging behind the man that had long black hair and eyes that were plain white. He blinked and held out his hand.
In his hand, there was a fantastic snake, no less than six feet long, it was not hanging like snakes do when you pick them up, or clinging to his hand, but writhing as if it were on the ground, but the man's hand happened to be gripping it in the middle.
It was an old man, but he didnt look to be of any race in particular (more of a mix of all races, with slightly darkened skin and oddly shaped eyes) I could not see the back of his head, but I had the feeling that his hair was braided.
The snake was yellow and had green jewels covering its head and between it's eyes, its tongue was black and it had red jewels down the length of its back. The man just stared and blinked at me with his milk-white eyes while I kept walking up the steps to nowhere. It was as if he were floating up along with me. He had a broad chin and a strong jaw, which did not move. His upper lip was full and his lower lip was thin.
I'm not sure how much of that is really useful to the interpretation, but it's everything that stood out to me.
To give a little more background on myself, which I've posted in other dream interpretation requests, I'm a mildly suicidal 19-year-old aspiring musician and poet. I'm interested in Eastern religion and past mythology from all over the world. I also have a deep interest in philosophy and literature, and have a penchant for epic soundscapes presented in metal or (neo)classical music.
Thank you.
