weird dream

well recently i had a dream where i can remember walking onto a beach, by myself and the sky was very dark with clouds everywhere and the swell was really big like tsunami big and everyone lying on the beach was dead, along with their towels umbrellas etc jus lying there now i used to surf like a year ago but now i hardly ever go to the beach, i dont know whether that helps

also in the dream i remember thinking that the big waves had somehow killed everyone on the beach but there was no evidense of destruction and i felt like i could have died if i had arrived earlier.
anyway does anyone know what this could mean?

We all know that sooner or later, death will come to all of us, and new life will be born. Hopefully not prematurely, but as the the inevitiable and inescapable last stage in the circle of life. There are many issues associated with death that might feature in our dreams: Loss, Loneliness or release for example, and whether or not there is life after death, might be another theme that we may try to explore within our dreams.

However death is not always disturbing-it can be very undramatic and mundane, or very peaceful and part of the natural order.

I think your dream is a scene of death that is very undramatic and peaceful, as though a disaster has occured, but there's no need to worry about the deceased any more, as they are peacefully resting. This may symbolise that you've maybe lost someone dear to you recently, and this is your mind dealing with the loss of them.

It sounds morbid enough, like the death of joy. Perhaps you are depressed.

Inspirer, just because some people have dreams about death and darkness, it does not mean they are depressed! It is just the mind trying to deal with a nasty or complicated situation, that it cannot deal with in the physical experience.
You cannot tell me that you have never had a dark dream, when nothing has been troubling you, really?

I think the dream is quite natural and interesting, even if it is a dark one!
