Can somone please explain this dream?

This has really been bothering me, I had a very weird dream, and I want to know what it means. Here it is:

I wasn't lucid, but it was still weird. In the dream I woke up, like usual. I got out of my bed, got dressed and so on. So I came out to the living room, but no one was there. So I opened a window for some reason. Then I noticed outside the window it was just black. So I figured maybe I woke up in the middle of a dark night and thought it was day. Then I went outside for some reason, but there was nothing there. It was just blank. It wasn't just dark, I mean it's like I was no where. Almost like I was in the middle of space except there were no stars, just purely black. And I couldn't walk out of my house either, if I did I would have fallen into the darkness. So there I was, alone in my house that was really in the middle of nowhere. One of the parts that really scared me, but I don't know why, I looked on the kitchen table and there was a lava lamp. It wasn't really "scary," like it was trying to eat me or something, but it made the dream all the more creepy.

It is probably just a reflection of some sort of anxiety you are feeling in your life. You may subconsciously feel alone or abandoned.

Or maybe you ate some bad cheese before bed..... who knows.

      Deja Vu

I've had a dream suprisingly familiar to yours.

I "woke up" and for some reason went downstairs into the living room, it was really dark, like i was in the middle of nowhere (as you say). The only source of light was a christmas tree, it was eerie, the shifting colours of the christmas lights made me freak out a bit. Then i had another false awakening. Then i woke up for real, creepy.

I don't know what they mean but at least you're not alone,

      Saturn Minty.

The false awakening suggest a new awareness. The window is outlook, and the front door, is your connection to the outside world, and the house is always yourself.
You suddenly feel there is nothing outside yourself, no one you can relate to. The kitchen is the need for emotional nourishmet, and the table a social gathering of people. The lava lamp is a kind of emotion inside you.
I have no speculation on what your problem or situation is, but you seem to have something inside you that you do not see in others.

Thanks for the response. That makes sense.
