      Anyone have a possible interpretation?

I will start out by saying that I am not interested in lucid dreaming, because that seems to be the main focus of these forums. I am interested only in dream interpretation.

A bit about me: I am a christian, I am a 20 year old male, I have never had a girlfriend (intentionally, because I decided as a very young man that I was not going to have a girlfriend until I was emotionally mature enough [and financially secure enough] to be able to support one). I'm an easy going guy; funny, easy to get along with, intelligent, all that jazz. I don't really know what else would help you guys with interpretation...

A couple of nights ago, I had a series of dreams (all in one night). They were certainly more vivid than usual, and had a recurring aspect. Here is what I wrote down that morning:

I had either one really long dream last night or a series of small dreams, but they all included the same person: Elizabeth. I have often had very strong romantic inclinations toward Elizabeth, and she is the only person I have ever “asked out”. I was rejected, but in a very nice way, and after a small period of awkwardness, we are now very close friends again. We have known each other for nearly 5 years and have been very good friends. I have always viewed her as out of my league (as far as a potential mate goes), she is incredibly beautiful, intelligent, and hilariously funny. We are very much alike in tons of ways, and both of us agree on that.
Anyway, knowing that little bit of history, I will proceed with explaining to the best of my ability the dream(s) I had last night.

      Dream/Section 1:

I am really having a lot of trouble remembering this, but there was a point where I was in my house with someone else (I don’t remember who, it was another friend), and I saw a car pull up in the driveway from my bedroom window. I immediately recognized the car as Elizabeth’s and I even recognized her face through her windshield. I asked my friend “is that who I think it is?”, and they said, “I think.”
I went downstairs to see that she was already in the living room, and we gave each other a hug and sat down and started talking. I realized as I was talking to her that she looked completely different (I haven’t actually seen her in quite a while, she moved to [another town]), in a bad way. She also talked differently and seemed to be a completely different person. After she left, I asked my friend about it and my friend said that the girl that came actually wasn’t Elizabeth, and that Elizabeth was still in [another town] and since I have seen her, she has became even more beautiful, and that what I actually saw was someone else. This made me feel longing to see Elizabeth again.

      Dream/Section 2:

For some reason, I kept breaking into Elizabeth’s house all the time. I don’t remember why, but at night when she was sleeping I would break into her house. I didn’t steal anything, I didn’t go into her bedroom where she was sleeping, I just broke in. Somehow, she found out about this, and started leaving me messages on her walls. I don’t remember what any of the messages said, all I remember is seeing them and realizing that she knew I was breaking into her house. I didn’t want her to think badly of me for doing it.

      Dream/Section 3:

Somehow, I knew Elizabeth was going to be at Costco one day. I went there before her, and hid behind a display of some sort, and watched her come in. I started to move my position, and she caught a quick glimpse of me. Knowing that she was going to start following me, I started running and dashing through isles to try to lose her. This felt very playful to me and I was having fun dashing through the isles. The problem, however, was that I kept running into other people I knew as I was running, and I would motion for them to be quiet or to stay where they were as I passed, because I didn’t want Elizabeth to know where I was. Unfortunately, they would start following me anyway. I started to run even faster, because I knew Elizabeth would be able to see where I was with all of these other people following me. It finally got to a point where I came around a corner and she had already anticipated my move and was there waiting for me. I said “ok, you caught me”, and we started walking together. The other people that were following me were no longer there for some reason. As we talked, she made a very suggestive comment about engaging in a relationship together. I didn’t respond to this for some reason, and afterwards she later explained to me that she was only going to give me 10 chances, and if I didn’t “make a move” so to speak ten times, then I wasn’t going to be able to with her. I felt very happy to know that she was interested in a relationship with me, but I felt reluctant because I didn’t know if I was the best person for her. We went back into Costco, and I picked up a couple bags of things that I had bought earlier, and I also picked up my guitar which was right there. Elizabeth and I talked about random things, and as I was leaving I was thinking that I hope they don’t notice that my guitar isn’t on the receipt, or they might think I stole it.

Hello Mr J, welcome to the website (although you're not interested in lucid dreaming [just dream interpretation {or at least for these dreams.}])

      Your dreams are simple enough...

#1 The false Elizabeth that drives up to visit you is your inaccurate impression of her, your myth about her. Your friend is probably just some afterthough, but the real one being even more beatiful suggests that you are very much interested in the reality of her, not your myth.

#2 A house is always yourself, and your breaking into her house and doind nothing suggests that your mind keeps going off to her when you don't mean to. You keep having intentions to be with her romanticly when she already doesn't want to.

#3 The Costco is the energy and desire to build a new life, which you want to with her. You hide behind a display, meaning that you hide your thoughts. She comes in, her presence in the dream represents not herself but your feelings for her. You playfully run away but keep running into people you know who then follow you. This must mean that your friends can tell how you feel even though you deny it. She catches you and implies wanting to start a romantic affair with you. You do nothing because you are conditioned to do nothing when these thoughts come to you.
I don't know what the 10 chances might be about, or the number 10.
The guitar may be your ability to romance her and be charming.

That's all I have. Overal it just sounds like a three part dream, your rejection of your own myth for the real person she is, the tendency of your intentions to keep going to her, and your willingness to put a lot into it. Hope it helped.
