GUYS, IM STILL LOOKING FOR OPINIONS! PLEASE CONTINUE TO REPLY! PLEASE!

Well, lets see.... I had this dream once a while ago, I dont remmeber too many dreams, but when I do remember, I tend to remmeber alot of detail.

Background info: Im 16, Im a guitarist, and student, my family is middle class, making decent money, but strugglig with morgatage payments. I have a pretty good life, I work and pay for most of my own stuff, and I have a girlfriend, the relationship almost 4 months now.

The Dream:
It started off in my kitchen (map will be included at the bottom), I was pouring a glass of water. The kitchen was fairly normal looking, except alot of the little objects werent there, but all the counters, tables, cabinets were there. the room to my right was the normal room, but it was missing almost all of its objects. The paino wasnt there, the computer wasnt there, it ws pretty much just an empty version of the room....I think the table was there, but off to the side, but I cant particularly remember that. Back to pouring a glass of water, I poured, and the force of the water caused the glass to fall off the counter, and spill on the ground. (this has happened in real life before). The weird thing about it, is the water IMMEDIATELY shot out, heading staraight to the other room, running at like 10 feet in a second. Instantly, I jumped acrossmy kitchen and the room, in one straight leap (the doors between the rooms were gone, and the doorway was wider, allowing the water, and my jump a straight path), I jumped because I saw the water was heading straight for the electrical outlet (I cant remmeber if an actualy outlet exists there), and I landed in a dive, hand infront of the outlet, barely stopping the water in time. But I look in front of my hand, and it appeared there was something like a mini 1 pronged outlet that the water poured into. I was worried, but I just got up and headed to my basement, the door to the basement is in the kitchen.

When I opened my basement door, the stairs to the basement were jsut like the stairs to the basement in my old house/the house I grew up in. The only weird thing, was that the stairs were a shiny "red carpet" type red, but brighter. I started downstairs, and It immediately led to a bedroom, everything was a shade of red (not too many dark reds). This apparently was my cousin Dan's room, who, in the aforementioned old house, lived in the basement (but there was a hallway before you got to his room in the old house, and his older brother (Dennis) shared the room.) Dennis had a kind of family fight, it started with my mom when we left the old house, and eventually led to him basically leaving the family. Dan is a cool guy though. He is an electrician, and I always liked him. Dan is about 19-20, Dennis is about 20-22. But anyways, I get there, and Dan is down there. He is clad in normal clothing, tshirt and shorts, unlike all the other red. He was down there, with another man, who I guess was his teacher, I dont know how I knew this, but I did, his teacher was leaving. He was a man I dont rmemeber ever seeing, but he had distinct features, as if I did know him. He has a kind of natural smile that makes the cheeks pop out a bit, a shot gray beard/gotee thing, gray hair, presumably gelled back, but it was up a bit, si it was like spikes going backwards, and it was a bit gray and black. He was wearing dress pants and a button collared shirt. The shirt might have been like a gray plaid. I think the pants were a white/khaki. But after he left, I dont remember anything. I forgot to mention, once I went to the basment, Id get shocked from the ground ever few seconds, I guess fromm the outlet being filled with water.

I have no Idea if this dream even has a meaning, Ive told many people, and they've been puzzled beyond beleif

PS, I have yet to conciously controll any of my dreams, Incase that information adds anything

Maybe this dream is telling you that you feel empty inside and wish to go back to where you grew up. Maybe not the house you grew up in but the general area. Also the old house could show that you miss the way your family used to be before the big argument.

Welcome to DV by the way Hope this helps.

well, to begin, water usually represents emotions. Water and electricity clearly do not mix, and you seem to be afraid that your emotions are going to be turned into something deadly if they make contact with this outlet, but you save it in time. I'm guessing whatever this thing is, you associate your electrician cousin with being able to fix it. Red is a very passionate and vibrant color, perhaps that has some relevance. Maybe you can make your own connections to things currently going on in your life, to an issue that's "charged" if you excuse the expression, based on this.

This actually makes alot of sense, because the whole fight happened when we were moving out....the final fight (my mom and him were on rough terms, but they were decent before this) was because Dennis wouldnt let us plug in an air conditioner (so we could finish moving) and pay him like a 20 for the electricity (because the apartment was his that day, he was moving in in our place). We were actually going to give him the air conditioner, but instead he flipped out at my mom and said no, and then there was all sorts of tension and flying objects, and the air conditioner was dropped out the window...... It was a bit tense at the time, but I had forgot about it until now actually.

He didnt even end up getting the apartment, he moved somewhere else, I have no clue where, for a while he lived near my new house, and I had seen him, but the argument was between him and my mom. I forget what happened, but there was an argument between him, and my other cousins that were his siblings and my aunt (my uncle had died of cancer a few years back), but in the end, he just kinda dissappeard to me.

So my family isnt much weirder because of him, he wasnt much of an important facto to begin with... its just my cousins family.

And about the whole empty thing- I dont feel so much empty about being out of that house (it was a 2 family, so technically apartment), because now Im living in a ful house, and I have my own room and computer....the only thing I dont like is that its on the side of town (I used to live in the other part) more affiliated with gang violence (Ive had a few runins myself, just minding my own buisiness, and im not that style at all). But over all, I dont particularly miss the area or anything

But who knows what my subconcious thinks?

This is a much more in depth review, and Im very impressed at the connections youve made. It just seems you missed the fact that, even though I stopped it from the big outlet, it still hit the smaller outlet that I didnt see.

I suppose that could symbolize that I always manage to fix any big emotional problems, but the little unseen problems are the ones I have trouble with.

The only other weird thing, is that I hardly see my cousin anymore, maybey once every 2 months, at some sort of family event or something......I dont have the type of relationship with him where he could fix anything I do. When I was younger I was closer to him, but growing up a bit as an outcast (not a total outcast, just a bit different than the generally regular people), I grew off of him kinda, but he's always been a cool guy. When an electrician friend we have was procrastinating on installing this electric line for an air conditioner, Dan came over and finished it.

The thing is, I dont know why Dan was in my dream (or why he would be associated with passsion or vibrance), I tend to have smaller less signifigant people in my dreams, sometimes people Ive met online even. but I dont see the signifigance of Dan, other than him being electrician, and there being some sort of electric problem in the dream.

And I still have no Idea what the teacher was doing in there.

but thanks for your chop at this dream, maybey I can combine all of the suggestions, to make one master solution to this dream.

The empty rooms could signify:

1. You just moved into the house (You miss your old home)
2. You are lacking/your family is lacking in necessities, (emotional, or material)
3. Lack of familiarity of the area.

The water falling out of the glass:

1. You are confused about the basic meanings of life and principles that apply
2. You are weak in the grip (showing insecurity?)
3. FREEDOM
4. Emotion

Chasing the water:

1. Trying to catch up with your emotions, understand them?
2. You may be trying to save, or contain your security, and your freedom.

Stoping the water from mixing with electricity:

1. trying to prevent something... but what?
2. A death?
3. the death of your feelings?
4. this one is tricky.....

Basement Steps RED:

1. The renewal of something (shiny carpet)
2. Bravery and courage is outlined with the color red

Leading into a bedroom:
1. hmmmm

Family Members:
1. A longing to see them
2. help them
3. ask them
4. just be with them

Unidentifiable person:

1. A lost identidy, yours? your cousins?
2. a peace maker?

I hope some of this helped

Dear Ryan,

Take this dream literally. Okay. Now what is so important that you need an explanation?

Perhaps you do not have many dreams, and this is the one dream you remember.

But it can be taken at face value. You spilled a glass of water. Well, don't cry about it.

But it doesn't mean much. It is not an important dream.

Go back to sleep.
