I think its a bit like art isn't it? I mean, everyone interprets them differently, its subjective. Have a look at this post for example, dreammagicks done a lot of interpretation of his dreams there.

Edit: But of course people do have certain methods too like a famous example is Sigmund Freud and his book The Interpretation of Dreams, but thats just his method, a lot of people disagree with it.

I have this huge book called "20,000 Dreams" and I've looked up almost every part of every dream since I bought it and basically i've noticed that whatever the object represents, that is what you need to focus on.
For example, a baby represents new beginning, fragile, innocent....try to figure out if its the situation that is fragile, or perhaps a loved one you need to be more fragile with.
In my opinion, most situations are harder to interpret, such as drowning, killing, car accidents. This is where my interpretation book really helps me out.

I think the interpretation of dreams should start at the individual, not in a book. You think about a certain symbol that appeared in a dream. Then you write down what you associate with it. No matter how paradox that is. And you do that with almost every symbol of the dream .. if you don't come to a useful conclusion/interpretation it's time to look up certain symbols in a book. There are Archetypes that refer to a collective unconsciousness; meaning this is not an individual symbol and must therefore be interpreted differently. Well this refers to C.G. Jung, a representative of the psycho-analysis.
      Religion is curable.

      disassociative
