Ok I'm pretty new to this forum, in fact this might be my second post, but there is a strange dream I should get off my chest. I play a lot of poker and so I have a tendency to have many dreams about poker or something poker-related. I had a dream about a month ago that I was apart of a big heist or some kind of scandle. I remember meeting up with some of the guys I was working with at a casino near an empty poker table. I was standing on one side and like four of them were on the other side and suddenly one pulls out a gun and shoots me 5 times in the chest. It stings a little and I get a pretty real sensation of pain and what it's like to die, because my last thought was "I always wondered what it was like to die" and then suddenly I'm dead.... except my ghost comes out of my body and turns around and I can still see myself dead on the floor and suddenly I'm really pissed off. So as a ghost I plot revenge on the people who killed me and ... this is hilarious... but my plan of revenge was to s*** on their couches. .... I'll let that sink in .... but after that I woke up. I don't know what it means but it was a pretty weird dream I had to let out.

Wow, that's sounds like an interesting dream.

Dream dying, as far as I know [from both personal experience and from other people] is a common thing, but even if common, it's a warning that some unlucky things may happen in your life. Death also tends to warn people about future sorrows or dissolutions.

Unless of course, death holds some personal meaning to you then you can kick these meanings to the curb. While I'm at it...

Well your poker dreams will tend to link to that aspect of your personality. The part that likes to take risks likes to impress other men and likes to be cool under pressure. It’s likely that the dream directly relates to some real life situation. Perhaps you had taken too much of a risk in some real life situation. Perhaps it was triggered by your fantasies. We lie awake and plan out the day ahead. Perhaps this dream relates how you were approaching some situation. Maybe the backlash shows that you were getting carried away a little.

Many people write dream diaries. But actually it would be better if they wrote a normal diary. A diary is basically the highlights of the previous day and the things that are important to you. Dreams are exactly the same. Once understood they would symbolize those key moments and turning points in your feelings. So instead of interpreting the dreams try first to guess what the most likely issues are that you would dream about. Think of exactly the same things that you would write in a diary. Once decoded the dreams would symbolize exactly what you think on the key subjects dominating your mind. Think of quotes that capture your feelings such as "my father seems very quiet. I think that something is very wrong. He often starts going quiet when something happens". You may not be able to understand the exact nature of the symbols.
