      different kind of plane crash

i had an interesting dream last night that i couldn't seem to fit together with different interpretations about plane crashes.

there is this girl that i've liked for many years. we are very good friends but i've always had a special liking for her over others. i dated a different girl and her a different guy for around 2 years. over this time we rarely talked. now we are both single and i can't eliminate the idea of wanting to be with her more closely, but have trouble apporaching her in this manner because of our friendship.
my dream involved her and i, and another person were in a house that was hers...but not hers if that makes sense. in the dream we knew it was her house, but it did not resemble her waking life house at all. her and i were talking alone and the topic of wanting to be w/ her came up and i told her how i felt. apparently the feeling was mutual because we started to kiss. i was ecstatic at that point and we continued kissing for a while. i could feel her hands around me and her soft lips pressed against mine, and it all seemed so real. she pulled me towards the door and things were "heating up" as we left the house. we held hands, went outside and looked at the stars. i noticed a plane was high up in the sky, and had a plume of smoke pouring out of the tail. it staggered and dropped in altitude then barreled down towards the house. it hit her roof and bounced down to the ground. it was a small 1 passenger, red plane. a pilot wearing a helmet exited the plane as i walked up to the wreckage. he was happy to be alive and brushed himself off. he smiled and said something along the lines of "that was close". i remember listening and glad he wasn't killed. i gave him a high five and said "that was awesome". so there is this mutual understanding of 'i could have died, but man that was cool' between the pilot and i and we both had big grins.
in the dream, both his attitude and mine towards the wreck made the high five and my comment seem appropriate, but in retrospect it just confuses me because that would never happen lol. i would be completely shocked and in emergency mode, not "woah dude, sweet" mode.

after having the dream, my longing to be with this girl has only increased. seeing her dream figure have a mutual feeling towards me, mixed w/ the kissing was exhilarating and makes me want to pursue it in my waking state even more.
pretty personal entry i know, but not many (if any) of my friends are interested in dreams or dream interpretation. any ideas?

Your friend is somebody with whom you feel very comfortable. She has qualities that represent the repressed female parts of you hence she appears in your dream when your unconscious wants to show you the repressed female part of you. You feel ecstatic when you kiss because you're really connecting with this part of you. Intensely. I know the waking feeling you describe very well and I have read other people's dreams here telling of the same feelings and desires.

The plane and pilot are also part of you. Not sure which part, however. Red can mean passion. The pilot survived - as indeed you survived your passion. I dunno - just playing around with ideas.

Well, you're obviouslly not worried if you set you username to an email address with a realname in it .

I don't do much dream interpretation, but here's my 2c

      a) Maybe the house being different is significant. You want things to change.
      b) You were probably cool about the plane crashing because you were feeling very happy.

Now, what you seem to be asking about is "different interpretations about plane crashes." So you've looked at very places to see what they have to say about this symbol in dreams, yes? My answer would be: don't bother.

Dreams are very personal - sorry, of course this one's personal, but I mean that they're very specific to you. There's no universal unconscousness which agrees that plane crashes are a symbol of good fortune. It is possible that the plane crash meant something particular to you, but theres a more likely explanation:

Dreams evolve, increasing in detail where you focus your attention. I saw this described best when someone explained dreams about all your teeth falling out - you think about your mouth, maybe you remember losing milk teeth, and then suddenly you notice your teeth are wobbly, you get worried and they loosen... maybe I don't explain so well.

You looked at the stars; it's a romantic thing to do with your friend. Looking at the stars, you saw something moving - perhaps you saw it only as a moving light at first. You were curious, and you realised it was a plane. Point: if you only saw a moving light beforehand, that's all it was - it might have been a satelite, a helicopter, a romantic shooting star... but when you focused on it, part of you made a decision and it became a plane. Then you were looking at this plane. In the same way, you notice something coming out of it. Look! It's smoke! The plane must be about to crash. And it does. Then you worry about the people in the plane, find the pilot...

Having said that, there could be a meaning in there. It's possible that the plane crash reflected your worries about the difficulty of pursuing a relationship (you were worried so something bad happened). On the other hand, everything turned out all right - so overall you're optimistic about it and think it would be worth trying.

      Hope that answers your question.

I personally think this dream is something to do with your hope of a relationship with this girl. I think the plane part of the dream is to do with the part of you that acts cool and casual towards your friend when really you have strong emotions for her. The fact that your attitude in your dream is not what you would normally say or do, is trying to tell you that you are putting on a front with your friend and that you should just be yourself if you want her affections. Well thats how I read your dream anyway.
