Dream of trying to get out of castle

Hello all, I had a strange dream the other night- I was in a castle, and I looked in this one room and there was a dance party going on. People were encouraging me to come in and dance, but instead I wanted to leave. But the only way out was out the window and along the narrow ledge outside, which was a few stories up. And I was supposed to follow this little girl who was showing me the way out. So I was following her, inching my way along this ledge, very scared I was going to fall, then suddenly someone was in front of me blocking my way, and the little girl was able to get around him, but I couldn't, and then she disappeared around a corner, and I started to panic because I couldn't see her. And that's where it ended. Any ideas? I had a relationship that broke up a few weeks ago, and I'm trying to decide if that has anything to do with it. Not sure though... Thanks!

Who was this little girl for you I wonder. Some kind of inner child who has escaped your conscious awareness. Could be linked to your relationship ending, yes, if the innocent, playful part of you has now slipped away. The fact that you didn't want to dance backs this up. The castle sounds like a place that's well defended. Also somewhere old. What is it for you and why do you want to leave it behind?

it does sound like something full of symbolism.. i guess only you can really figure that out though. personally i would've tried asking the person blocking you to move. or y'know maybe just turning back. i like parties.
