Fighting over a pen and throwing toothpicks(lol)

This dream is kinda weird. It started out with my and this young boy arguing and fussing over an ink pen. We made a deal to have a sword fight where we would fight to the death(the winner would claim the right to the ink pen)
So anyway, we started fighting and the battle did get bloody. As it turned out, nobody won and we stopped to catch our breath. Suddenly I was transported to another area full of shopping malls, eateries, etc. A box of toothpicks appeared in my hand and I just started throwing them at people for the fun of it(sorta like throw the arrow at the bull's eye). And then everyone froze in their tracks and started looking around. Out of nowhere a loud intercome voice announced, "Attention everyone, Satan has left the beach, I repeat, Satan has left the beach". And then the dream ended. What on earth could this possibly mean?

....To me it just sounds like a random nonsense dream. Maybe there is something in your life that you feel like you need to defend and it's not even your problem. Maybe nobody won because it doesn't matter if you defend it because it's not your battle. As for the tooth picks and Satan leaving the beach...I think that's just one of those retarded dreams you have. Everyone has the nonsense dreams. But, I could be wrong. You might want to see some more answers.

well many dreams show you judging yourself or the actions of others(particularly from the day before). so a little boy could indicate that you realise that you or others have been a little petty(fighting over a pen). Or that you are trying not to get involved in some petty dispute.

Some dreams mark a change in our feelings. They represent a new and fresh insight into some situation in your life. They maybe represent a new strategy to a task that you are focusing your mind on. Other dreams do not link to a change in our thinking. These dreams will simply link to strong emotions. They maybe show that a pressing issue is dominating our thinking. Perhaps it may link to some difficult relationship that simply will not resolve itself. In such cases the dream will capture your continuing strong emotions and frustrations.

Thanks, but what about the "Satan has left the beach" part?

well try to think about that quote. Many quotes are packed with meaning. think deeply about that quote. What comes yto mind. It probably linked to something on your mind either about the day before or thre day to come.

Dreams are best seen as building blocks of our own very thinking. They actually represent internal thought processes. The best way to understand dream symbols is to see them as words or collections of words. By themselves they make no real sense. For instance if a soldier appears in a dream we cannot truly understand that it means one thing. We have to interpret the symbol. Dreams symbols interact with each other and so their meaning can start to make more sense.
If someone utters the word 'war' in a dream then we cannot understand what the meaning of the sentence is just by understanding the meaning of the word 'war'. Yes war has many different meanings and it can be used in many different contexts. In the same way if the dream contains a war or warlike situation we cannot make any immediate conclusions on its meaning. The simple get out clause of all dream interpretors was to make simplistic comments. That war in dreams means that you have got to face some major challenge head on. Thats truly underestimating the true complexity of dream language. The truth is that dreams can use war in just as many ways as we do in spoken language. It may refer to a warlike situation involving you or someone close to you. It may refer to some war like situation in the past that has already been resolved. It may refer to your worries that someone is being warlike towards you. So in truth a dream is not easy to interpret. Often there are no immediate clues to say that the dream is about you or someone else, and also no indication as to when the dream refers to (past, present or future). But its best to keep in mind the various possibilities. Keep an open mind.
Just imagine the following three phrases "my boss said we need to wage war on these sloppy practices", "She was really waging war on me", "Tommorrow is going to be tough - the atmosphere is warlike" and "I was thinking about my experiences in the war". These are all rich in meaning and the presence of the word war does not in itelf give some strong clue as to the meaning of the sentence. In the same way the presence of a dream symbol does not by itself mean that much.
