On a beach in Australia

so I had a dream last night that must have been the most vivid dream I have had in years. I was visiting Australia(or perhaps New Zealand) with my family. I remember having an areal view of a peninsula. The next thing i knew, I was there. The peninsula(which I believe is like an island but with a small piece of land attached to the mainland) was covered in sand and had small patches of foliage on it. I remember walking across the beach where it met the ocean. I stopped walking and crouched down and put my hands into the ocean waters. While I was doing this, I looked up at the sky. What I saw was the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen in my life. The sky was very cloudy, but the sun was just starting to make it's way out from under the aforementioned clouds. The sun became so bright that I had to cover my eyes with my hands. I am very curious as to what this dream means. Any response will be greatly appreciated.

This is a beautiful dream full of some wonderful, positive imagery! There's lots of imagery connected with a beach. Looking toward a beach, as perhaps in the aerial view - not sure if that applies - suggest a return to the familiar or perhaps an adaption to circumstances. Being on the beach itself represents a merging of logic (the sand) and emotion (the water)...so this is a transitional place between physical and the spiritual. That you go up to the water and dip your hands seems to indicate that the emotional/spiritual was out of balance and you are accepting/exploring that side. Looking out to the sky brings in a whole new set of imagery. The clouds are just that - clouds and trouble in life - and as they clear that would indicate a similar clearing in your life. The clear blue sky is symbolic of peace and freedom of expression - I don't think from your description that the emphasis was on blue sky, though, but on the sun coming through. The sun itself is a very positive symbol! It's about peace of mind and enlightenment; also, radiant energy, and the brightness of the light seems to indicate the strength of clarity for you. Overall, the dream would seem to indicate you've had some sort of spiritual breakthrough, found inner peace, and that you feel you are on the right track with your life. It really is a beautiful dream. Edit: the bit about it being Australia...idk. That seems like a personal symbolism; what does Australia mean or represent to you?

I'm not sure why I was in Australia. I guess I have always wanted to go to that part of the world. My father was born in New Zealand...I'm not sure if that has anything to do with my dream or not.
