Dreaming about the deceased

My mum just told me she had a dream about her best friend who passed away about 5 years ago. I wouldnt normally think anything of this dream but my mum hardly ever remembers her dreams and also her friends daughter is getting married this saturday so I thought it could mean something. The dream (from my mums point of view): I was in a dance hall. There was a family friend (living) on stage and the room was lit up with all the colours of the rainbow. Another family friend (living) was stood nearby with a stripey rainbow jumper on. My friend (deceased and mum to bride) was stood next to me. (Her hair always had to be just right when she was alive) She was being very quiet so I asked her what was wrong. She replied "Im not happy". When I asked why, she said that it was because of her hair. I turned to look at her and noticed that her fringe was flat to her head and looked silly. Basically that was the dream. I just wondered if it meant anything in relation to my friend that is getting married? Thankyou Kirsty

I suspect that this dream was caused by your mother thinking about how the the daughter is getting married. This probably lead her to think about her best friend who died more than she usually does. She probably also felt some pretty strong emotions and all of this added together to make an odd dream about her deceased friend. So, IMHO, I think it didn't have much meaning beyond being a reflection of her thoughts.

Hi Kirstypro I think this dream has greater meaning. I will take it away with me and think about it. The key symbols are...dance hall, rainbows, fringe/hair, sadness. I'll be back... Cham
