Dream about a friend who died

      Hi all,
I am a pretty vivid dreamer and thought it would be interesting to find out what it all meant.

I had a good friend - someone I knew since the first grade - who past away about two years ago at the age of 36 from breast cancer. She left behind two girls (10 and 7). I had dinner with her girls yesterday and today would have been her 38th birthday. I had a dream about her last night. I saw her and we were talking just like old times. I think there was a part of me that knew she wasn't really alive, but I was so happy just to see her and talk to her. She had two dogs with her. One of the dogs was a white poodle and was fine. The other dog was also white, but more of a mutt and had a large gash along his/her spine. It wasn't bleeding, but it was clearly an open wound. What could this dream mean?

Question: When you had dinner with her girls did they both seem ok? Just an idea but dogs might represent her children in your subconsciousness

Oh my goodness. That's it! One was fine, the other one seemed not herself. She kept telling all of us at the table that she hated us. Thank you for helping me figure that out.
