      Another strange dream...about death

If you have read any of my other posts, thank you...I have posted a dream about my brother dying in a horrible motorcycle accident which a few months prior to his death, I had a dream of my deceased great grandmother coming to visit and wanting me to see this piece of paper...but for some reason I didn't want to see it...because I knew it had someones name on that paper that was going to die. My brother was in that dream with a motorcycle in the back of his old truck...and I just thought that with that dream, if I would have looked at that paper, sometimes I feel guilty...because I blame myself for not warning him or doing something to prevent his tragic death...

Last night I had a dream of my elderly great aunt and she died from a simple cough...she is in good health..but her husband is not. I would always have thought he would pass away before her. In my dream last night, it was weird seeing my great aunt laying on a hospital bed, she had passed away...and I just kept thinking..that we were going to have to take care of my great uncle and I didn't know where his medicines were and while I was thinking of this...(this is where it gets strange) she walks up to me..and I didnt' even recognize her, because she looked so very young and not like her self. I kept thinking this is not my aunt! She was to young, I mean around in her late 20's or maybe early 30's..and she was so pretty and dressed up but everyone kept reassuring me that this was here...especially my mom and my aunt. I was wondering if this is what my great aunt my have looked like when she was in her younger years and if this is some kind of "warning" that she is going to pass away. I dont' understand. If anyone has any input they would like to share, please pass it along, I'm open to anything. Thank you.

I am so deeply sorry to hear about what happened to your lovely brother. I lost my brother four and a half years ago. He was the co-pilot in a plane transporting food in Africa. He was 28 years old with a wife and two children. I still see him in my dreams and it helps me to have this contact with him, even though I know it is only in my mind. Following his death I spent two years actively pursuing answers as to whether there is a God and a heaven. I read countless books on religion, life-after-death research, evolution, cosmology and quantum physics and the Bible itself. Although I had considered myself a Christian for thirty-four years, suddenly I had an important reason to find out whether the beliefs I had held in blind faith for so many years were actually based on truth. Here is my opinion on the matter of your dreams and whether or not they are premonitions based on the conclusions I came to:

Personally I have not found any evidence whatsoever that leads me to believe in the existence of God, or anything supernatural including ghosts, premonitions, astrology, superstitions, tarot cards, palm reading, mediums etc. In fact I have found strong evidence to the contrary. Since I started viewing the world from the scientific perspective everything makes sense to me and I have felt a lot more peace because I know that what happens happens and we just have to make the best of what we have got. There is only physics. There is no magic. But there is love, and love lasts forever.

If people really did have dreams that were premonitions, and psychics really did exist then we could reasonably expect that at least one person out of the 6 billion on this planet would have had a premonition or dream that was able to prevent the terrorist attack on 11th September 2001, or the Boxing Day Tsunami 2004 which killed a quarter of a million people. The fact is, there are 6 billion people living on this planet all of whom dream every single night. Statistically speaking, every night somebody in the world (probably more than one person in fact) is likely to dream about a motor vehicle or motorcycle crash. Every day in the world people are killed in motor vehicle and motorcycle crashes. So every now and then someone will have a dream about such and then someone they know will be killed this way. If you are that person it will feel very meaningful to you. But you are merely a result of statistics. Something a very wise person told me once was this: "Everyone tends to think that statistics don't apply to them".

You said you were open to anything so I've told you what I truly believe. I apologise if it is not what you want to hear. In my opinion, your dream about your great aunt is merely an expression of a subconscious fear. Nothing more, nothing less. I hope this helps you.

      Take care and Kia Kaha,
      M

I dont think you should be asking the people on this forum for those kind of answers. A dream like that is really personal and people here dont know what it means anymore than you do.

I dont want to be completly usless, so I will give you my input even though I dont know you or your life.

I do believe that not all dreams are are just crap your mind made up while you were sleeping. I dont know if thats the case for the dream about your aunt ,but if you feel comfortable enough about it just talk to her, or at least someone close to you ( im sure you've already done that). besides that what else can you do? You know she's not immortal so dont fear for her death. just enjoy her being here while it does last.

I do believe in afterlife so I dont look at death as someone completely ceasing to exist. That works for me, but i cant tell you what to believe.

I absolutely second everything that DreamQueen has written here.
It's pretty much exactly how i've come to see the world.

One of my favourite quotes by the wonderful Carl Sagan is:

"It is far better to grasp the universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. " Carl Sagan

Well, since I have read that according to Wheeler–deWitt equation if one weighs 90 kg then rest of the Universe have to weigh -90 kg, I've started to suspect that advanced science is not very different to occult teachings .
