Father threatens to kill me.

In the dream, my father sets a bomb outside my house. He tells me that he set it off any time that he wants, day or night. Part of me wants to call the police, and tell them about it, but I am scared that if I do my father will find out and I will wear the consequences of it. This is about all of the dream that I remember, but because of the shocking nature of this, it is hard to forget about the bomb scare. In my real life, I love my father and I know he would never do anything to harm me, so I am guessing that I can't take the dream literally. Also the house in my dream was an old wooden house, one that I do recognize from my current life. Any ideas what it could mean by my father threatening to kill me?

IMO, Father may be the symbol for the mental side or controlling side of our self. House means self. Police also means controlling or suppressing So, the dream is perhaps, telling you that the mental/controlling side of the personality is gonna explode/flair up anytime. At the moment, you are suppressing it(policing).
